you want to save money..thats teh way to go...if tank is not full...it allows more petrol vapour to fill the empty space.in the tank..so the less fuel it has you loose more fuel....ahha..so next time you fill petrol this will just dissappear into the air..

bike not as fuel efficient as i thought.. topping up again

that's 3 days on a row.. cos the needle droppnig to Empty liao..

 

Wehn i topped the day before yesterday, it was at half..

 

Since thursday, i've been topping up almost daily.. travelled 250kms already..

wow.. mayb got leak?? how much u pump each time??? i pump once a week. travel abt 400+km one week. each time i pump abt 13 litres. so i think urs a bit weird.. mayb monitor n ask mech check?

so far so good... cos these few days got warm up bike... normally EO serve well for the first 600-800KM. The test comes at letting the EO work on 800-1200KM.

i have an update...

 

The good thing about buying a 2nd hand bike from CKA is that they give u a warranty.. so in the mean time, use as much as possible..

 

My fuel guage had a prob, that's why show half only.. want down to CKA HQ today, and Roy fixed a new one for me.. =) . GOnna pump full tank on thursday (hope can tahan by then..)

 

Went to do a bit of tuning a bit just now.. ermm.. Uncle soh, where's the pilot screw ?? is it in the throttle block, and can be adjusted from the right hand side? (exhaust side la..) i played around with it just now, idling went up and down.. so i set the idling a little lower today, and pickup seems to have improved..

What did i do? How would it affect my FC, and general riding?

 

Darn the rain.. anyone got any solution to prevent fogging on the insde of the helmet as you breathe?

 

Oh... just now I got an sms from blackness.. anyone selling off any roadwins? Or know of anyone selling? pls put up the URL, thread here.. cos he's looking for a bike so that he can have a bike to exprss his passion.. haha..

 

My 1st bikewash on thursday nite.. at Bukit batok area.. anyone keen, sms me.

 

Would a handguard look good on a RW? Hmm.. I'm thikning of getting one fixed.. oh yes.. might wanna change an airhorn also.. anyone with any lobangs on how much?

 

my bike is making weird noises..

1) high pitch vibration noises at RPM beyond 6k..

2) grinding noises when moving, and free wheeling at 1st gear..

3) high pitch noise when doing low speed braking..

 

symptoms?

 

other than that, i'm still enjoying my ride, every moment of it...

Darn.. Headlight blow out..

NOw using high beam to prevent samans.. got no time to go down to CKA yet to get it changed (still on 1 month electrical warranty)

 

THen again.. to go to CKA to change for a bulb which is not stock, which they may not have doesn't sound like a good idea.. ( i have a RXZ catalyser header).. since its aftermarket, i think i'll pop over to a nearby mechanic to get it fixed.

 

Oh yes.. bike wash last night.. today, the bike was glimmering in the sun.. =) was a good ride..

 

did speed test last night too..

100kmh @ 9500 rpm and can't go higher.

 

Pumped full tank also.. Will track mileage. 1000km servicing at CKA on tuesday..

 

Oh yes.. is this a common problem... when on gear 5, adn drop to gear 4, I have to release half clutch to let the gear drop fully to 4.. if not the lever would be stuck..

make sure mech install 35/35w headlight bulb, i don't think it is under warranty.

beware tat 55/65w (too hot) can melt the plastic housing n wires.

 

try not to drop gears immediately when doing engine brake,

stay on fifth until low speed then drop gear.

uncle soh, i noticed recently my bike seems to be having a "metal rubbing" sounding when i hit 5.5-6k RPM. I went to two mech. the first one tried to tighten all my screws on the bike, but to no avail. the second mech mentioned that it would be that the misalignment of exhaust pipe cos this pipe is a new one and that "welding" it would solve the problem. Isnt welding it going to make it like my old pipe? Kinda felt cheated by the mech who went to replace my pipe he say cannot pass inspection and secondly no power of the pipe is hollow
