Was riding on the TPE last night, cruising nicely, then suddenly the bike started to vibrate more.. 1st I thought it was road surface..

 

Then when i got to the carpark, at lower RPM, around 5-6k, the vibrations got a whole lot more violent than normal. The gear lever seems to be loose, but I don't think that's the problem.

 

Would need to get the mechs to check on the mountings also.. see if anything got broken, detached or loose along the way.

 

Remember i mentioned that the bike can't go beyond 9.5k rpm? This morning, it seems more eager to reach 10k rpm.. something happened last night, but I don't know what...

 

Now i'm worried. Higher speeed, yes.. but clutch plate wore out?

1000km servicing tmr.

will get oil change also. Gear change feels rough already.

 

Need to check wiring for my headlamps also. Went to get the bulb changed, but still the switch doesn't work. High beam only, no low beam.

 

But still i'm enjoying my ride. not pushing her as hard as I would like to though..

tot i wanna share with u guys...

 

tat day i was riding.. halfway got a loud noise coming from dunno where. scared me sia. ma chiam the engine gonna burst out liddat. so i quickly ride to cka BB n michael helped me rectify the problem. it seems tat my header nuts came loose, causing my exhuast air to come out directly from engine. from the number of rounds i saw him turn the nut in, i realise it was very very loose. haha.

haha. i've had that same experience before, somemore the muffler end come out and produce a freaking loud noise, its like those malaysian pipes. but come to think of it, super cool yet a price to pay if kena saman. anyway, nice seeing u on the road driftbaker!

Haiz.. I went to CKA today to rectify the exhaust problem. The Mech. dismantled the exhaust pipe and found that the inner sleeves of the pipe has cracked and the pieces are knocking against the pipe. I've changed the pipe (cost me $180 btw) and the sound stop. I'm happy for that just that the compression rates are screwed up now... Any speed below 60 is still ok.. anything above 60 takes a long time to climb.... I can't hit 100 unless i'm down hill.

anyone is aware that there is a full cowl for our roadwin? I've noticed it in the catalog that is on CKA website. Maybe that is the reason why they aint interested to bring in the new roadwin?

I passed by a yamaha FZ6 on my way to dinner just now and notice that the headlight is damm chio.. I wonder if there is anyway to install that headlight..

your carb setting is not properly tune.

maybe the jet-needle eclip was not clipped properly into the slot n needle has dropped in the carb.

try middle setting, jet-needle eclip at slot#3 n pilot screw at 2 7/8 turns.

 

check accelerator cam adjustment.

when turn the throttle, u can see the cam move up on the carb's right side.

turn full throttle, try lifting it up by using index finger.

u should have a little up lift of less than 0.5 mm if not adjust the lock nut.

 

rw can run 110 kph even with stock setup.

 

did u tell them about the muffler mounting hole should align to the bracket hole?

 

i know it is easy to lightly lift up the muffler n align to bracket but the stress n heat will cause it to crack again.

 

i told roy about this problem two years back.

he did check and some r perfectly aligned, a few r not.

not all rw have the same problems.

this problem can be easily rectify by adding one more header gasket (engine exhaust side).

i remembered my old ninja header cost S$1000+ per set.

 

mine can barely reach 100. looks like i need to adjust some parts..

wa... wth.... one problem after another... is it common to have larger voltage dips than normal when you rev your bike? I'm starting to notice that the bike's lighting is starting to flicker to the bike rev. When you rev, the light is brighter, when you close trottle, the light dims, and a slight flickering can be seen ... This aint common right?

 

 

Does this mean there is an underlining problem?

!! Starter Coil was changed 3 months back!!! Pengz...

My ehaust has something lose inside..

When at 5-6k rpm, there's a metallic vibration, and roughness in the engine. Only at 8k rpm then it becomes a smooth ride.

 

Changing the full system exhaust will set me back another 180.

 

ANyway.. managed to get 25kml on the tank with stock settings. if i dun drag the engine too much, i should get better mileage.

 

Back in school! Anyone staying in the north wanna meet up for coffee anytime, just beep me.
