i think u mistook me for someone else, i didn't install racing carb.

i did tried out different main-jets eg. #98,#102,#105 n #108, stock mj is #100.

my preference is #102.

 

stsoh i saw ur vid on youtube! lol cool.. but i dont understand wat ur carb settings with 15t front sprocket & 130/70 rear tyre.

main-jet #102 (stock main-jet #100).

stock :jet-needle eclip in slot#2, pilot-screw 2 1/8 turns.

middle:jet-needle eclip in slot#3, pilot-screw 2 7/8 turns.

power :jet-needle eclip in slot#4, pilot-screw 2 5/8 turns means..

Just a quick update on my baby..

 

Over the weekend the carb failed on me. Can only start with choke open (even then, hard to start) and once I close the choke, the engine dies. No point holding throttle, cos it will also die.

 

Went over the CKA HQ today and got the carb changed FOC (under 6 months engine warranty) so that's GREAT customer service for you! I offered to top up for a racing carb, but apparently, CKA HQ does not have it.

 

my prev carb was leaking. Air intake was inefficient to the point that I can't pull the engine beyond 6k rpm.

 

I need a third party to oversee the bike for other problems. So far, people been giving me advise based on their experience on their 4-strokers. so i need some help ofr daelim specialists.

 

Our mechs have a lot to do, hence they don't have enough time to relly look into everything for the bike; the electronics, the engine; the leaks etc. hence they would only fix the problems you will have. To save ourselves the time and trouble to be caught at a time that your bike won't run, its good to know what's wrong with your bike.

 

IN the past month, i've gone back to the mech almost every week. Problems here and there, making me almost want to ride the bike down a cliff (singapore gt no cliff arrr) out of sheer frustration.

 

So guan, get yourself a first hand bike, and get comfy with it. if there's a problem with the bike, you know its your fault, not other's. =) and u'll slowly learn what the problems are.

 

On that, I used to look forward ot riding my baby. Can't say the same now.

 

PS: Ed, my motor can't fly.. YET. gonna fix turbo and a pair of wings. Rebore to 200 cc, and perhaps change it to a v-twin, or and inline-4. LOL.

After space's mods, i think anything is possible.

yea i really am tempted to get a 1st hand also.. cant wait!! be careful cos u might change ur roadwin into a super 2! lol

i don't think X5 fc is 35km/l, will be slightly worst than 125cc.

should be around 29km/l after run-in, 35km/l is b4 run-in.

my rw 125cc initial b4 run-in was 37km/l, after tat kept dropping until 28~30km/l.

 

wat does run in means? actually am quite surprise that RW consumes quite abit of fuel.. i mean its only 150 or 125 cc.. is it because it is 4 valve? and 4 valve makes it more powerful therefore more FC?

I think Motorbike is a GF. Always problem one.. but you still go to her everyday.. be with her everyday. Not perfect.. but we love to be with it.

 

My mods aint fantastic bro.. its not a 600CC Engine installation... hahah... I just wanted to be happy with my bike... After all.. It either makes ur day.. or spoils it... it has the power to do so..

Racing Carb can only be done in BB.. its not a daelim product.. Its a aftermarket racing carb.

Dude~!

 

Gotta be real. There are other 125s on the road that consume more fuel than us RWs. The Varadero 125 for example, consumption is 23-25 kml. 2 strokers consumption is around 18-20 kml at stock.

 

Mods would increase fuel comsumption..

 

4 valve doesnt mean power. u wan't power, go for 2 stroke. the power-weight ratio is beter, hence more net POWER compared to 4-strokes.

 

4-strokes is about fuel efficiency..

 

Seriously you want efficient, go for a pulsar. Or perhaps a Yammie YBR 150 or a Honda CBF 150. They're more fuel effiecient.

I rode on a YBX before (earlier generation of YBR) and fuel consumption is ard 45-50 kml. 11l tank got be ard 500 kms. =)

Top speed is 100kmh, 4-speed with kick start.

raden.. how much are you selling ur headlight again? i thinking of changing back... i saw this super 4 have this wind shield damm chio!!!!... I think RXZ headlight now not that chio anymore..hahah... like.. too big for a head of a roadwin...

Still can't beat your steriod super 2 la, but it looks waaaaay better.. hahaha.... :angel:

erm..have to say... the racing carb wasn't intented for Roadwin... Its a generic Racing Carb.. lookslike my friend Racing Carb actually.. he owns a RXZ...:X.. i thought all carb for 2b look the same.. the technology is the same mar...

I can't install the belly pan cos of the Moriwaki exhaust pipe. If the RXZ head can point straight.. i dun mine.. mine looks like it lost the world cup... or maybe was guilty for some crime...

run-in is a period tat u go slow for 1000 km as recommended by manufacturer.

run-in is also known as engine break-in.

manual recommends tat during this period engine revolution must not exceed 5,000 rpm for the first 1,000 km.

but most will exceed 5,000 rpm after a couple of hundreds km, it just too slow in our traffic.

5,000 rpm in fifth gear = 60kph.

 

Uncle soh, is there any other way to fasten the process of run in? i cant go expressway cos of this..

 

At the same time, anyone know if we can install sliders on our bike? just in case if we drop bike there is some form of cushion?

stsoh. there were talks on this. but tat time u all nv considered installing racin carb rite? what abt it? u think it's a good idea? i don't want to install it cos i wan speed, it's just that pick up really is bad when i'm pillioning.. (with pillion, the weight is quite alot.. lol)

 

 

Johnny... during ur next servicing or when u change EO,ask Mech to help you check carb joint. I noticed that our FY -FX plate Carb joint has a high breakage rate. My orginal Carb joint broke quite badly.. the mech showed it to me. That resulted the 125 to not response well
