hey.. just wondering if this happens to anyone of u..

whenever it rains, my fuel cap gets filled with water.. although between the fuel cap and the fuel tank there is a seal to prevent water from seeping in, when i open the cap, water will flow in. over time, the tank gets filled with a significant amount of water at the bottom.. is there anyway to prevent that?

no.

it is the settings of the carb tat determines how the air/fuel mixtures r meters to the engine.

newbies r been carrotted by bike shops telling them clean/wash carb.

in fact, after disassemble carb, compress air blown thru orifics.

the settings is change if u r lucky it might suit them, otherwise it is either lean or rich.

unless tat mech has feeds back wat is the best carb settings for tat particular bike.

the reason why i kept telling u to visit cka-hq n ask roy to tune carb for u.

i have feed back to him on rw carb settings.

doesn't cleaning the carb reduce dirt inside therefore will have less restrictions?

i need to go to hq.. but no time.. weekdays work, weekends tuition.. gotta take leave to go down to cka..

rainwater won't get into fuel tank easily, unless u purposely open cap n let rainwater in.

there r two ways our tank will get water in it.

1) morning dew.

2) petrol stations slacking maintenances.

if u frequently pump from JB petrol stations, u get water in your fuel tank.

pump stations r suppose to check water level in their underground fuel tanks n pump out water when it gets too high.

there will be a minimum water level left in their tanks.

so at times, water will pump into our tanks from those petrol station.

how water get into those stations underground fuel tanks?

cracks, rainwater can sip into the underground tanks

or morning dew condensations.

i see...

sometimes straight away after a rain, then i have no choice but to refill my fuel tank, so i have to open the fuel cap, then no choice water will flow in.. how do we prevent that?

I getting confused.. the increase of CC, from 125-200 , should give you a 1.5 pony power right? Meaning that I should be able to switch to a sprocket setting much smaller than what the usual RW load should be able to accept right?

st sir,

i rmbr last time u said before u modified a knn filter to fit into ur rw rite? did u fit it into the air filter slot or did u replace the whole airbox with the knn filter?

wads ur take on replacing the whole airbox with the knn filter?

yes.

yes, mod airfilter for it to fit into the original airbox.

i found a rare knn airfilter for a go-kart engine.

i cut n shave off it's top n bottom to size in order for it to fit into airbox.

plus glue metal top from original airfilter n make a gasket for top seal area.

i'm not sure.

i believe some rw owners did tat mod.

they probably can tell u more.

sir, how much did u get the airfilter for? roy recommended that i change to k&n, n he would replace the whole airbox with tat, n he said he's done that for many daelim bikes already.

sir, wad are the advtanges of changing to a k&n filter?

i brought knn filter from ebay.

shipping cost is almost the same value of filter.

total cost about S$100.

cka supplied type is universal cone filter.
