it is absolutely normal, it's not a bad thing, considering the view when drivers see in their mirror, immediately due to the space between the lights, they will know it's a bike.

once i drove a borrowed car, during night time when lighting isnt that great, i think the mirrors are "tinted" it makes drivers easily mistake bikes for car. (i drive a number of different cars on a daily basis due to work.)

thanks for the info. I did call the dealer today to confirm and they said it is as per design. I guess for better visibility as you said so it is a good thing to have.

I was just worried there was a bad electrical contact somewhere.

It a common feature for Honda bikes. Like super 4, CBR4, NC700 etc.

Fellow 400x owners,

I finally got my bike last Saturday and wanted to ask other owners about the front turn signals: they are always on. so they are either blinking or on.

Is that normal?

Thanks in advance.

It is normal for our Honda street bikes that are 400cc and above, though I'm not sure if its for all the production bikes in that range.

your signal light has a cable (I think) that is connected to your pilot light, so, as long as your headlight on (& none of the "front" lights blown) it will "switched" on. it will blink as per normal operation during "blinker" usage.

This I presume, is a safety feature, making our bikes more visible to other road users, as all the front lights are on.

I think the digital display for fuel consumption is wrongly calculated,my actual FC is 32/liter ,based on my total mileage/total fuel filled, for my bike I travel 480km on 15 liter fuel, it's very impressive . So far I have travel 2500km Liao.

hey guys need help, any review of cb400F?

I riding tihis cb400f...white colour. has nice pearl paintwork if u get it in white(mine is) much like pcx 150. Previous bike was pulsar 180 and i can tell u that i feel at home with the cb400f. Performance related is the same as the X and R. Other than that, at higher speed u need to fight the wind bcos no wind visor but aftermarket is available. The leg positioning is tiny bit more aggressive when compared to super 4 but u can feel the bottom end(super 4 feels abit 'empty' down there to me). No surprises u wont feel the rush of super 4 cos no vtec so dont expect much in that regard. Could be better with twin rotors. Looks modern, feels modern, power is flat/linear across the rpm so easy to handle easy to ride. Forks feel like it could be better though.

The worst unmodded FC for this bike 1 bro shared was 27/L. That's like 10/L more than Super 4 Revo. Guess FC is the trump up its sleave.

Coz when I rode a 15yr old Steed 400, V Twin, I only got 19-20/L. I assume when bike was newer about 22-23/L ?

That's what I was told from my small timer shop which takes spares & bikes from the "big boys".

Think 400X is bout 18k OTR. IF coe hits 6k as claimed, that means 20K for these 400 series. Fyi, Revo is already 20k OTR today.

I'm not sure if anyone translated this yet so here goes:

The sealing bolt at the cylinder head needs to be replaced because when the engine heats up, it may loosen and causing oil leaks. In the worst case scenario, it may drop out during riding and the engine will stop running. The bolts need to be replaced with the good ones.

The picture of the affect bolts is here:

http://www.honda.co.jp/recall/140213_3304b.html

The affected bikes bear chassis numbers NC47-1000035~NC47-1003874. So please check your bikes' chassis numbers.

Cheers!

Agent bikes check with Boon Siew, parallel bikes try to source for the effected parts if effected and get it replaced and torque to the correct spec

Nothing much to highlight since I am still in the breaking in. it is essentially the same as the cb400f and 400x except for the slightly sportier ergo and wind protection if you do tuck in.

Should have come with better looking mirrors and rear tire hugger as stock though.

Saw on youtube that someone managed to change the front indicators to those that flush against the fairings. Anyone knows where it get those?
