Yah its 5pm to 8pm instead of 4.30-7pm. Saturday dont have normal bus lane hours anymore.

Then the full day bus lane hours are from 7.30am-8pm from Mondays to Saturdays...

To me, bus lane operation hours is 24 hours a day from Monday to Sat. Dun enter bus lane is the best, no need worry about bus lane hours. Midnight or what no bus of course no problem la. Sunday relac relac ride on bus lane at 50km/h also no prob la. What for go into bus lane unless you making a turn? Risk getting the timing wrong and pay more $$$ to gahmen only. PUI!!!

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

By the way, anyone kena ticket before for entering bus lane during the time?

I personally try not to enter them during the hrs unless its super hot in the end, and jam and i need to move out of the heated out area fast, like Jalan Basah.

me loh. 2 days after i passed my 2b i stupid stupid happily ride in bus lane. Then kenna $130. Went to LTA appeal nocely they reject. I never ever used bus lanes anymore. To me its a tactic to squeeze money from road users only. Just like those Cash card parking. 10.15pm enter to makan for 30mins end up pay $1.30 for parking :giddy:

Not using the bus lane ever just because you got fined once seems an overkill. My memory's not too good either, so I don't go by exact timing. I know after 10 am and 8 pm sure okay.

No use, no chance of fine. Use, get the timing right, no fine. No use, no need care no risk. Simple. Anyway why will want to use lane 3 at anytime when all the cars and buses park in bus lane during traffic jams, crawl slowly during bus lane hours and off. Lol... :cheer:

f@#K!!! i alighted my friend at a bus lane, right ahead of me was an uncle wearing white who missed no chance at snapshotting me with his camera, i feel im gonna receive a letter soon, but hope to appeal as i was jus alighting my friend and i was not obstructing traffic.

Do they summon buses out of the bus lane?

if they summon us when we encroach into the bus lane, they should summon buses for driving out of bus lanes

You can see that on most roads, buses would love to stay in the bus lane because that's the easiest way to proceed forward (see Thomson Road, Bukit Timah Road...).

Here's the most common reasons why buses move out of the bus lane:

1. to turn right

2. to go straight, where the bus lane leads to a left turn lane (see Orchard Road before Istana, New Bridge Road before Upper Pickering St, and many more)

3. to move on to the next bus stop where it will stop, bypassing the alternate ones where it won't (see Orchard Road, Eu Tong Sen Street, Victoria Street...)

4. to avoid non-buses who decide to stop in the bus lane when it's operational - taxis, unloading goods vehicles, passenger pickups and drop offs...

He who hesitates is lost!
