walao, today damn suay.kena ripped.

 

Need to buy a helmet for for my 2b lessons so i went to this motorshop in amk indstrial park 1. called : N*M W*H Motor. i was in a rush as lessons starts in half hour and it was startin to rain, so i asked for a XXL helmet, and he sold me a LAB racing which he claims is xxl for $55. So i chiong to ssdc, and met someone with same helmet who told me he bought for $20 only, i damn tulan. not enuff eh, the instructor even ask me to take out helmet and see the size myself, tellin me my helmet too small. Turns out that the shop sold me a L size one. so i went back to the shop after my lessons and here is the conversation (in mandarin) :

 

Me : boss, why u sell me a L size u say XXL?

Boss: No la, this one special modification one, i change the inner parts liao

Me : But the helmet sticker says L leh

Boss: no la, if i wana cheat u i change the sticker alrdy, really is special modification one

Me : okay, even if really XXL, my fren say he bought $20 only. Just now when i buy, i din even bargain with you, and you chop me like carrot

Boss: Cannot be, you ask your friend show me the reciept. You come. ( leads me to his office, where he toss arnd the reciept book and keep repeating the same words like " i wont cheat you one, i wont cheat you"

Me : (walks away )

 

Ok, if anybody got similar experiences, can share on how to handle it? also, if possible, tell me where to get really big helmets, cuz i need one. the current one only covers up to my upper cheek.

... i dun think lab helmet cost so much.. at this price.. u juz have to pay a few more dollars to get a mfizz evo 2 helmet.

i had bought KISS helmet at 50$ too..

that was some motorshop near sim lim,

when i went there to transfer from previous owner but i didnt have my own helmet.

Then transaction done, he walked away, and i left with bike with no helmet.

so i walked nearby shops and found helmet, no choice of color, size.

(luckly, the helmet size L still fit me)

it was overpriced... butta what to do...

anyway y dun u use ssdc helmet?jus buy a inner lining will do.

 

for all my bike lesson, i owis use sch helmet cos i dun wan to dirty mine.

HaHA.. LAB helmet? I get it for FREE when buying a bike.. The shop guy still told me this sentence: " Helmet i can only give u cheap cheap one".. Actually i dun wan oso, but gotta pillion my friend home... So lan lan take lor... If u wan i sell u half price, $25... XL size... haha.. Anyway, U r not the first guy kena carrot, browse below dis section u can find another 1 more chap worse, kena carrot for a block that the shop didnt change for $300... Think he just polise only...

If i were u, I'll ask him dis question: " Change inner cushion? 2nd hand helmet arh? If not why u change the cushion" Anyway, Kinda bullshit la, LAB helmet for $50.. Might as well go for a Nova with Fin for only $35 @ Ah boy there... Provided u bargain with ah boy.. Cheers..

Mine carrot head kana chop $5 last month and $15 last yr.

 

Slighly abit +/- nvm de but not too big difference in the price lah.

u can remove the inner cushion to make some room for the head. My friend can't put his open-face helmet with the cushion on, but fits comfortably without it. The only helmet that fits him nicely is his full face ogk ff4.

k la. thanks for all the advices.. if i cannot tahan i will try to remove the inner cushions and stuff. Anyway, is a full face helmets bigger in size den open ones?

u wanna get full face?

SG weather too hot for a full face helmet, not even one of my friends use, cos nowadays very hot.

 

I seen learners or even riders buy this brand called sumo helmet(dunno got spell wrong or not). I think quite cheap and durable.

 

If no choice then buy this one, ur smaller helmet can use as pillion helmet in the future.

Agree that weather these days is too hot for fullface... But then again... Fullface offer better protection and comfort.

 

End of the day, we gotta decide which is hotter... sweating in the fullface, or the face grazing the hot tarmac....

I personally got anotherbike there . u guys should stop by that old shop n give it a try than make a comment.But got to wait la.
