Pic Updates! Slider!

These sliders are made so that it protrudes about 1cm from the fairing outer edge. Only thing now is I can't find any stainless steel bolts that can compliment it. The screw shop at Kelantan lane says the screw thread are rare to find that that size of bolts... So I have to be satisfy with High tension blacken bolts until I can find stainless ones. And yes it rust! apply grease before mount is advised.

aluminium will rust one ah?

I seriously want it too... But I seriously have no extra money to pay for the installment!

I paying a ~25yrs installment to MiniSteel...

I got a a pair of slider to loet go, some sliders are made for the naked SV650 version, these are unable to protect the fairing as they are too short (as pointed out by Slacker).

The Sliders consist 2 uneven length cylinder, the longer for Right (~120cm) , shorter for left (~80cm long). viewing from the top it should have about 1cm protusion from the fairing

SV650:

Can you tell me your slider's length?

then go buy a vtec loh...

i agree with kooteowman..

why are 600cc and 1000cc sportsbike riders getting a bigger rear sprocket?

becos low and mid range torque not enough, makes it hard to squeeze in typical singapore road conditions (jam jam jam.. yummy.. hai~) when u need the instant response, u just dun get it.

few ppl know how much more road friendly are v-twin bikes...

of cos, u can follow the general crowd of singaporeans to buy super4. no one is saying that it's not a good bike.

However the owner has posted the ad for quite sometime ago, probably its an indication Suzuki Vtwin is not popular in SG.

Popular or monkey-see-monkey-do?

ride a proper v-twin and learn for urself, "Is this fact or fiction..?"

I love to own a suzuki v-twin but its not favourable in the market, will have a hard time to sell off the bike in future. Unless the price is low enough for me to loose all of it then I won't mind.

I think v twin has its market value jus that it is smaller compare to others. Of course sometimes, resale value need to take in consideration. But to own a bike that you desire, we focus more towards its character and performance rather than its resale value rite?

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.

You can't be more right.

It's sad people don't follow their liking and choose a bike everybody else think is good for them.

Those riding as transport won't be bothered at all, but how about those who claim they love to ride.... people whom love to ride don't just get a bike everyone else tells them to.

What? I buy an S4 to gain acceptance from everyone else? muahahahahahaha....

Not only resale value, there are other consideration like spare parts, reliability, budget constraint, intended use (touring, race, transport etc) and availabilty of aftermarket parts.

Personally I dont buy a bike base on peer pressure. Infact I been riding alot of old school suzuki bike, Bandit 400, GSXR400, GSXR750WP which everyone condemmed to be problematic but these machine serve me well with no major problems at all (maybe I'm lucky).

My only constraint is budget, if you guys are selling your SV650 for $3K or less, I be a happy SV rider.

Another ex-Bandito rider..... what's the relation with Bandit and SV?

3k? You kidding! You better edit that(before someone here tells you to go f... spider)

It's like going into Duke999 forum asking them to sell their bikes at 10.

Dude 5k will get you a decent one, worth every cent!

Both bandit and SV are undervalue by the market.

You know my gsxr750WP with renew COE was sold off for $1.7K, but what to do, because demand market is not there. But if you look at the Honda bikes of CBR400 and the RVF400, the price barely drops. (5-8K)

Its a cold hard facts, you cannot denied the market force, somemore singapore rider communuty is small compare to Ang Mo country. And with COE price falling, more riders are taking up cars.

Yep I agree but then when comes to reality its a different story.

I desire the power and look of the old school kawasaki ZXR750K model but spares part availability and support is not there in Spore.

In the end I go for the old school GSXR750WP model but I never regret owning this wonderful bike as well.
