Hi, if you are not keen in buying sv bike then why you bother to ask so much and still requesting people to help you to find info...

if your budget is around 3K then you just search around for those bikes that will suits your budget. I am sure that sv bike is out of your budget range.

Lastly, if you want to post some unrelated issues, i think you are in the wrong thread.

I am keen to buy SV650 but not at the price of 4-5k for a 7 year old machine.

I think you are just pissed off that your bike has depreciated so much so fast, well that's life dude. :goodluck: It just show you are a unfriendly SV rider.

sad to say thatnis all about your assumptions.

i wont pissed off easily by those people (who want something cheap and good).

anyway i got one suggestion, need not 3k just $3 to get a custom make sticker and paste it on your watever bike...

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.

Dude, we are not particular about how much our SV has depreciated. We are much prepared that it will be that way. Some of us here bought the SV first hand and we don't give a damn about the resale value.

I think most of the guys here have been very helpful to you, but if your expectations of the SV should not be worth more than $3K, you don't deserve one in the first place.

I think your priority should be finding one in good condition first. If you are sincere, we will even view the bike with you, like what we have done before for others. But I think you see the forum as an avenue for free info.

Everyone want cheap and good, that's reality. And cheap doesn't necessary mean no good. I dun understand why you and some others keep hinting the SV650 on classified no good, because seller is selling at market rate.

But when I asked openly to PM me the details of that bike, no one respond.

Whether I buy my SV for $3K or the sticker for $3 also non of your business. I will buy if its a good deal.

I dun care how many hand, as long the bike is in reasonable condition I'm ok with it. There will be bound to be wear and tear for used bike and I never expect it to be in show room condition. Can anyone guarantee if I buy a SV for 6K there will definitely be no problem??

I'm not sure what's the hidden agenda for the one on classified ads and when I asked about it, no one wants to share but keep saying cheap no good, not worth to buy.

More or less I guess its the engine busted before or it was badly crashed and the frame is bent.

have u viewed the bike? i viewed, i find it quite ok lah , just the exterior need to touch up abit. as for the engine, i didnt ride far, no comments.

3k for that bike is really cheap to tahan another 3 yrs and scrap it if got any problems.

as for the rest, hidden agenda? wat is it really about haha. but since its a piece of advise from them , its up to u to believe or not.

Its better to have lived and lost than to never live at all. Live it, the way you want it.

How much you think a good condition FS plate SV650 worth now? My valuation and your valuation of the bike is subjective, I value it according to the market demand while you value it from an enthusiastic point of view. I dun consider you wrong but why are you condemming me?

All you guys just do is hint cheap is not good, but no one tells me which part of the bike is no good, when you all knew it. I'm ok with the $3.5K SV as long the engine is not busted or the frame bent. All the minor fault, wear and tear parts I am prepared to replace and fixed it on my own.

do you understand wat is reality? your personal perception and others perception is different. do you know that?

do you make a mistake? when did i commented regarding the sv650?

or is it your assumption again?

your approach to request for others people help is so unpolite and rude, and you think people will respond? think about it.

i am not interested about your decision making.

you can keep on waiting until one that really suits your budget.... but one thing good offer seldom comes, even if it comes you need to be fast...

u haven gone to view the bike yet right?

make an appointment with the owner and go see see lor.. there's no harm viewing anyway.. like wat u said, "I guess its the engine busted before or it was badly crashed and the frame is bent."

make a judgement urself.

different ppl, different wans. i pay for a good engine and frame becos everything else is so much easier to change. Nobody likes to keep going bikeshop to see to a problematic engine.. if the condition justifies the price, i'll buy.. just like wat u'll do.

so just go see lor..

My perception of SV650 price is different from yours, what's the big deal?? Why kick a big fuss and make a ruckuss. I never asked for your opinion in the first place.

I was asking what happened to the SV650 on classified ads since so many is hinting to me its not worth buying, and I asked to PM me the details. Is that rude?? Did I asked anyone to post about the SV650 openly in the forum?? Then you jump into my post and give some rude and irrelevant comment. You tell me who is the one being rude and impolite here??

All along I been talking about the $3k SV650 on classified ad, if you are not refering to that $3k SV, then which one are you refering to?? Do you mean all SV which sells at $3K sure got problem is it, and your SV is the best on the road is it??

Hey S750WPA, as of what Weiz85 commented, he gave a different opinion.

Go view the bike, no one is telling you what to do.

Buy it if you think it's good for you, if you're really so incline buying anything, no one stops you. Don't be affected by our comments.

Good people here are only giving their own opinion.

Anyway, there ain't enough SVs to go around... :lovestruck:

Yah, I think this guy don't get our point. What I mean is "Can find one then say".

We guys are happy if we can even find one going to scrap... you know what i mean... (ie stardust)

BTW Kazuhiko,

the battery is Yuasa (YT12A-BS 12V 10A). Can buy from Ah Boy quite cheap, abt $80-$90.

You can give him the model number or say Hayabusa's battery. Don't say SV650, wait he think SP150.

Dude, there's no market demand for this bike. This is Singapore. The demand is your own demand. If you can find one in decent condition then say. Otherwise, we will applaud you if you can rebuild one up, but I doubt you will do so.

From the way you bombarded this forum with your posts and questions, I can't help but to see that you are taking us for granted. And based on the way you expect a bike should be, I think you better avoid the SV - Spare parts hard to find, no top speed, no resale value, left 3 years, lousy rear stock shock etc. (BTW who's using stock rear shock here?)

Don't be lazy, read thru this entire thread from page 1 and you will realise how much we have contributed.

Anyway, SV riders are not friendly to other road users anyway, and there aren't enough to find a nice one.
