Just had a spill this morning... busted my left headlight... cracked fairing and stuff. :cry: My beautiful SV!!!!! Well no one to blame but me, speeding so not able to stop intime....

 

Went to bike shop, they can't find the headlight for my SV... Only when they find the headlight then they will be able to patch up the fairing... Just went to Ebay AngMo more in SV650 naked version... So headlight are meant for SV650 not SV650S...

 

Will call KS & GuanHoe tomorrow...

I saw one maroon colour SV at westmall, with a rear box fitted. It look so common that I wouldnt have notice that it is a SV if my bike wasnt parked next to it. I think the rear box spoilt the special look of the bike but it can be quite useful though. :smile:

Hi Limsteel,

 

Try checking out the price at KS or Eversucess. Used to buy spare from Guan Hoe workshop directly. The boss always mark up alot. Experienced once when they help me to air freight some parts in, the moment the goods arrived, the boss increased the spare part price, saying that there was an increase in freight charges.

KS bluntly say no stock and put down phone liao... Don't seem willing to bring in...

 

Trying to look at other foriegn dealers... and checking E bay...

 

 

Else I maybe force to Convert to SV650 (single round headlight)

I find Ever Sucess guys more friendly. Alternatively, try putting a torch light in front. Good idea?

Head light still works... thinking of patching up the broken fairing. once done, I will get a set of headlight protector/shield, silicon it down to the fairing, prevent drop off, also water proofing it.

 

If I need to remove, It will be simple as silicon is not a permanent seal. can tear off with brute force or use a penknife to cut away.

 

I originally have the head light shield but it broke during impact. I saw someone selling the SV headlight shield in calssified before... now that Classified is down, I cannot locate the seller....

I checked with TP & LTA... the Enforcement people there say if a bike has Dual headlamps... it is not approved to be ridden with ONE! and action can be taken against these riders...

 

I see RVF, NSR150 with one sided headlight, this is illegal mod.

 

However I check with LTA Engineering People, they say it is OK for them... But bear in mind they are not on the road doing enforcement.

SV streetfighter version the handlebars are slightly higher if I'm not wrong...posture is different
