He might have got affected by the 'disappearing in my side view mirror' comment lah, that's why had to have the 650 or the 1000.... :angel:

The tinted lens are bad, render the headlights useless on dark roads.

Hello,

 

Would a GSXR400 front rim fit on the SV400? The specs for the SV400 front rim is

 

WHEELS

Front tyre: 120/60-17

Front brakes: single 290mm discs w/2-piston Tokico calipers

Front rim width: 3.5 inches

 

Also, can the fork, triple clamps, steering cone from the GSXR400 fit on a SV400?

 

Fork angle/Trail: 25 / 100 mm

 

Anyone know?

 

I need to replace my front rim, but would like to find out if we could convert the single disc brake to double disc brakes.

...........etc, etc..

Wanna ask if any 400 here change their front disc before, oem($450) or aftermarket?

 

Btw, I am sure its 310mm.

any idea whats the cable that is hanging out of the fairing on the right side?

 

realise there is this random metal sound going off when im in neutral or when i clutched in, is that normal, the clutch housing sound or ??? normal riding seems great

yo...congrats...

wah...you very fast and steady...i hope the SV will serve you well like the very short period it has served me...

 

the cable with a knob hanging out is your idling screw...turn it to either increase or decrease your idling...

the intermitent sound is the chain tensioner...but the mech said that one nothing serious....only when time to do overhaul,then do that one shot lah...

At the meantime,just enjoy the ride...

 

I've not ridden the bike since i have been transfered to west side...i can't bear riding long journey on a handleclip bike...

So i've you really want to do someting to the bike,just do oil change and the K&N airfilter and tuning...basically that's what i intend to do.

bro...try to check if it is same with Bandit...i see like same...but different side...

if can use...go to mahmotorparts...they should have all those scrap bandits stuff

Lets say its the same as bandit but diff side.. think oem still gonna cost 450..

 

I am thinking if "Braking STX12D" will be able to fit sv400s..

STX12D 2

 

Next alternative will be EBC MD3006RS (RS for right, LS for left.)

I am still abit skeptical if they are able to fit.. too big of a risk to order and :cry: later... maybe got to make a trip down to mah motorparts..

Metal Sound. Seems like an SV on a dry clutch.

Finally found the parts manual for SV400S. Although it is in jap, but am sure can look at the pics and compare the part number/pics with the English SV650S part manual. It was hidding in a russian website. :dozed:

My frame is relatively hot as well.. Usually I feel it when i am seated in the bike with its side stand down. During ride, no issue at all.

yeah pretty dam rare to see one popping out. i reserved mine without even viewing it, some say dam impulsive but aiyar dont wanna miss chance

 

 

send my bike and spoke to michael, kallang cycle for awhile, dam nice guy who will go all out explaining things. probably one of the few mech who doesnt get annoyed with my overwhelming questions. apparently one of the ex owners of my bike used to service it over there . .
