Going to send in the bike for a spot of servicing cos I've been encountering the following symptoms for the past 2 days.

 

1. Engine cranks but wont start unless the starter is held down and the throttle is held wide open. (Possible carb flooding, loss of compression)

 

2. Engine won't idle even when warm, dies when coming to a halt (possibly choke cable seized in open position, idle jets clogged, leak in vacuum)

 

3. Engine RPM won't follow throttle. Snapping open the throttle very quickly and shutting it produces hesitation, stumbling. (possibly Carbs running very rich, vacuum leak)

 

Anyone has a particular shop to recommend? :) I don't require it to be cheap, but I require it to be good. No point sending it to a mech that knows as much as I do about the bike. I need someone who can stand by their work, even if they charge me a premium for it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I've found the location for the Bottletree Village yao24 mentioned...we could have a smaller scale meet there next week, or could still go down to Marbella's. Let me know preferences...
