If park can park at capitol building which is free. I normally take train.

 

and any tips for me to prepare for work? haha

Reasons why I don't ride to work

 

-No ERP cost ($0.50 AYE, $1.25 suntec)

-No petrol cost (roughly about 30km+ to n fro)

-No mercy of weather

-No irritating morning traffic (cars go desperate this time of the day)

-No parking issues (although suntec is free)

-No smoke, diesel, 2T or pollutants on you.

-More bike wear and tear.

 

Reasons why I regret not riding to work

 

-Walking dist to Suntec from Cityhall is a real *****. (Citylink > Suntec Towers)

-Need to wake up earlier.

-Facing the horrible morning human traffic (Breaths, Farts, BOs, Kiasus', Inconsiderates')

-Travelling time is almost double of riding.

-Missing my ride.

 

Oh well, Have a Happy Tuesday Everybody!!

I ride to work simply because

 

it takes 20 mins instead of 1hr 15mins by public,

walking from MRT to my office is a pain,

i can actually see the side profiles of the pretties, looking at the back is not as exciting, and i cannot turn my head around,

i can go riding after work, go for dinner, go out have some fun, before going home.

 

But ultimately,

 

Average waiting time for morning train at Lakeside MRT = 3 trains

Average waiting time for evening train at Tanjong Pagar MRT = 5 trains.

Yeah, I'll be looking for job that is about less than 10km away from my house away from ERP.. so I can ride to work.. Hoping to get IRAS or JTC.. But then again, I might consider going back to Chesterton.. Commercial leasing commission is very lucrative!

Since I'm drifting away in work, here are the things I hope to do for the club.

Dunnoe if I'm being too highly ambitious, but hopefully, with your help, I can accomplish that.

 

To Do List / Best Person for the Job:

 

1) Recruit more riders thru Matric Fair - everybody

2) Print another batch of NUS rider stickers

3) Creation of NUS Riders Polo Design / Pit Shirt - Phyo

4) Creation of NUS Riders video for Matric - Hafiz & Kitty

5) Refurbishing the Blogspot Layout - Web design people

6) Consolidating our Club outing pictures - everybody

7) Local Outings - Ash & Haikal

8) Overseas Outings - Cheeko & Ex presidents

9) Sports Activities - CH & Wadi

 

Upcoming Trips in mind

 

1) Durian Local Outing (prob this or next wekend)

2) Desaru - Beaching & bury cheeko & Backflip demo by Fazli

3) KL Putrajaya trip - Probably sem break or Holiday

Faz, if ure asked to represent Singapore in Muay Thai, but asked to give up riding permenantly for intensive trainings etc etc, would u do it?

David beckham loves riding but he cant bcoz of his contract stating that he cant ride....

 

if Muay thai is my bread and butter, i'll put on hold my riding passion...coz we haf to admit the risk of riding is high....worst to worst I'll go pattaya for holiday and ride...

 

darren, the head/owner of FightG gym, takes cab everyday...he refuse to drive bcoz the parking and erp will kill him. He dont ride bcoz he said its dangerous and he needs his body to work (he teaches people martial arts). He said 'Work hard enough so that you can afford to take cab everyday.'

No regrets.
