Ooh. Thank you. So it's not from gear 5/6 kick all the way down to 1 just before the bike stop ar. Okay. I'll bear whatever you all said in mind. And err c.s. I don't really like the idea of falling and skidding. Haha.

my advice is never use gear 1 for enginer braking..will cause ur rear tyres to lock and if u're not careful can just lead u to kiss e holy tarmac..

and if u're riding fast and u suddenly kick down to gear one...hold on to that mother foocking bike and pray u can hang on to e crazy wobbling machine.. haha

anws..its always easier to kick into neutral from e 2nd gear....

just my two cents worth

All the best for you practical! A trip to Thailand is yet to happen, although there are a few that went there.. However, we do have semestral break outings (Cameron and Port Dickson) coming soon.. :)

Apart from that, we always have some trips to nearby overseas seafood, nasi lemak, and local outings as well.. :)

Ooh thank you. That is really awesome! Is nus riders considered a cca or something like that in nus? As in is it recognized by them?

For those who are interested to pick up falling techniques.. although I don't really noe if it applies to street riding and track riding.. Hopefully, it will shed some light in the event that you may need to use it and hopefully save your life..

NUS Riders is a recognised Interest Group body with the University. We participate in the Matric Fair and have to fill in annual report to the OSA.

However, we are not registered under the Registrar of Societies and our club is not registrable for CCA points for hostel/hall/campus.

Hence, our goal goes beyond CCA points. We hope to form a group of student motorcyclists, and njoying this experience and do activities together during our education in the University.. Ultimately, our goals includes inculcating safe riding amongst riders and bonding friendships thru time..

Hopefully, upon graduation, apart from the head-wrecking academic experience, we will all leave the university with good memories riding with the Club.. :)

Three Classes, Two Wheels, One Passion..

nus riders are full of rubbish people

who wants to waste their life away, by exposing themselves to the danger of the idiotic drivers on the road

u see, the whole point is that, after graduating, your potential monetary value increase, but you still expose ur life to the dangerous roads, instead of driving a car that can kill others, without hurting yourself

aren't NUS riders rubbish?

We welcome both riders and non-riders to join the club, as long as they express their intention to.. However, for outings, we will try to cater for non-riders as pillions (however, this may not be easy and is dependant on the riders themselves).

There are riders who signed up without a bike and in due course, got their bike and subsequently joined us for trips.. you can always take a look at our blog for past trips and acitivities

Haha all of your stories are really interesting! Zhayuwe where did you buy your book from? Eh btw they said for your own bike if you kick down 1 shot all the way your brake will spoil faster. Is that true?

from ESSO. but its a US magazine so not all the bikes shown are available in singapore. you can import them if you really like them of course but that would be expensive. you wouldnt want to spend too much on your class 2B bike if you're planning to upgrade. and furthermore if its a rare model there might not be a mechanic that is experienced enough to fix it well in singapore if anything goes wrong
