Iz, from Ah Beng Bikeworks, he mentioned that for the Fuel Injection, you can still do balancing (i.e. sumthing like carburettor tuning) for $80, but he mentioned for mapping wise, (fuel consumption) need to have PC..

 

just need to check whether how true is this, n is there any other place I can do this service?

but i m really proud of my bullet-proof, solid v-twin engine of my shadow.. didn't fail me one bit.. smooth journey all the way and back...

only thing is.. i was stuck at 140-150km/hr range.. opened trottle n i just hang on like crazy man..

Yeah.. I kinda trust their service and planet's.. i dun think other mech comes close but then again, maybe ive not visited them..

u can get the stuffs from him, then send ur bike to racewerks or any shops with a dyno machine.

went up at midnight on thurs.. rode for some 7-8hrs with rests in-between

reached the perak caves ard 830am..

went into the caves for 3hr tracking..

lunch.. then checked in at a hotel in ipoh.. everyone knock out

dinner.. went ard town a lil.. then supper.. sleep again

sat morn back on the road again.. went to castle > lunch > some waterfall > then rode back liao..

dinner at melaka.. reached back home ard 4am

 

covered some 1200km in total

 

 

 

dont put so much hope on the vtx.. though i m praying he will sell to me.. hahaha

for all you guys going for long trips 1st time or 2nd time (kukup and kulai, not counted)

 

 

do take note of a few pre-trips preparations

 

 

1) bike --- basic things like plugs/chains/EO/battery/clutch cables/throttle cable/brakes.... dun let such things bring u down on a trip... get them up for the trip

2) documents --= photocopied IC, driving lic,insurance coverage for riding ur bike, all these are essentials... before u forfeit extra kopi $

3) money --- other than ur own expenses, prepare more, in case of breakdown/disruption cost (which include kopi $ and in worst case-- tow fees)

4) ur leaders for the trips (know the way, care for the members, not like cheeko poon, who will ignore when things happen... LOL )

5) proper communication --- instructions, and auto roaming, in case ppl deviate from some place and end up in thailand alone...

 

 

last of all.................... do a stress free trip... if tired, rest more at the petrol kiosk

 

 

it has been calculated that the difference betweeen traveling 120 / 150 / 180./ 299 is only about 5 - 15 mins rest time each stop... as long as u are in the group, you WILL wait at the next agreed petrol stop......and how much difference it makes for the whole trip...........is about (10mins X number of stops)...
