my last sem in NUS alr tho...

my bike forever parked in NUS as I stay hall and don't ride home..

 

pleasantly surprised to see the sudden revival of the thread! :)

 

last sem alrd! wow nice one. how's pulsar maintenance like? i heard to get spare parts quite leceh is it, since its manufactured in india??

Like a lot of bikes buy liao in the end got lotsa problems... How to buy a good bike ar?

Aside from test riding, listen to engine, feel the suspension, brakes, tyres, bearings, see exhaust, other than that see u lucky anot izit?

 

Ohh I see. Thanks for the enlightenment.. haha.

 

2nd hand bike I would say mostly depend on luck cos i think it is quite impossible to test all the parts just by viewing/short test ride alone.. if really can then can go become bike mech already. hahaha.

Yeah, wet floor and went too fast into the corner. Luckily i escaped unscathed with just a sore butt and a $200 repair fee which is almost like 20% the price of the bike :cry:

Oh haha... I guess then I have to be more stringent when test riding. Any engine sound/feeling got prob den dun take liao...

Exhaust/crankcase/tank damaged? I thought kupkia+hondas/yamahas repair shd be cheaper???

 

Btw do you lean-in into the corner on a wave? Hard to imagine leaning in cos there is no tank to grip... lol

You don't ride home, but got ride out and eat, take ur bike for exercise, ... go south buona vista road? hahah!

Can't lean cos the footrest is in the way... Beats me why so ex man...maybe kena chopped. Can't find a trustworthy workshop.. eh good luck in the report hahaha. Few more weeks to liberation!

trust me a phantom cant lean either hahaha. but glad yr ok man. the weather's always wet nowadays. really gotta be careful. plenty of bike shops at ubi. can try there next time!

ride to lessons to avoid crowded buses, ride to dapao food and buy groceries lo haha!

yeah sometimes S. BV road since quite near my hall... got one awesome duck rice store there!

normal maintenance ok but when need spare parts can be quite pricey... i always go to the official shop so they can do everything...

 

used to have some electrical problems which cost me bomb!

The current president of the NUS Motorcycling Club is Khalis, but he's mostly busy so the club is quite inactive for now. Can you guys pm me your numbers so that I can add to the existing list of contact numbers in the club. I will be organizing a meet up after exams. I tried to organize one during recess week but it failed due to poor response. Our meet ups are usually on Friday or Saturday nights. If guys know of other riders in NUS, do get them to join us too.
