Also need any one person to be my witness at NUS on Sat nite when I push off. Kam Siah in Advance.

Basically the trip will go from NUS to Thailand then back to GP Esso. Round trip around 1600 km, Maximum allowable time is Depart Sat Midnight, Arrive Sun Midinight. But I estimate 10-11 pm will be at GP Esso there already.

I *will* confirm the trip if you guys are going to be there, can't be letting my supporters down

Thanks bro. Its midnight when I push off, but you can come and witness earlier a bit (say 11.30), doesn't matter. I still have to get a time stamp from a ATM machine later to show the time. Probably the one at the Forum there.

Its only a race if you consider a race vs the clock.

Hard to "ride slow and easy" since we have a 24 hour time limit to go Thailand and back. I'd estimate 130 to 170 being the travelling speeds.

1600km should be do-able in 24hrs.

I have done about 1300km in about 12.5hrs.

Mainly highway with small town intersections, where speed drops to about 60km/h.

Its definitely doable. Its the easiest one on the cards. In fact its been said that the only requirement to finish this ride is stupidity, so I should have not much problems. Some of the harder ironbutt rides simply cannot be done here (e.g. 8000 km in 5 days).

Most finish in the 21+ hrs.

1300km in 12.5 is very fast. That's 100 km/h + constant, which takes into account things like customs, rest breaks, bad traffic petrol stops, road blocks (guarantee weekend sure got) etc.

Don't mind me asking 3 questions:

what was your route?

I'm assuming you didn't stop to eat and just 'pump and go'?

You would have to maintain 150 for most of the journey, I'm guessing?

Its a very impressive feat, considering you ride a RS, which is not the most comfortable bike for long distance.

Also, since this is your first time on this thread, can intro?

Sorry, I was taking into the account the distance but not location.

Having lived and studied in Syd for almost 7 yrs, I used to ride/drive inter-state every month or so. Always fr Syd to Bris or Syd to Melb.

Every trip averages about 3000km.

I have done trips in cars and a CBR250RR.

Never on a RS.

Dont think my butt can take it.

My times are always quicker in cars than on bike, due to fuel capacity and the ability to take a leak in a moving vehicle

The road conditions are similar to NSHY.

I only set off just before mid-night by 2-3am, avg speed will be about 140km/h.

On the straights, just exceeding 220km/h or thereabouts.

Only stopping for fuel, toilet and a drink all at one go, nothing more.

No matter how much rest and sleep you get, how loud you blast your music, around the 3hr mark or so, the mind starts to wander though you may be physically and mentall very alert.

Non-stop night riding requires alot of focus and attention at that speed as everywhere outside the scope of your headlights at high beam is complete darkness.

At that speed, small pothole can catch you off guard and change your direction of the bike, its easy to become from hero to zero, so, please be careful.

If you need any other info, I will gladly assist :thumb:

I love long rides!

hahah, drink champange then all go back sg kena kantong...

Maybe Pagoh or something like that. But definitely GP ESSO.

The Timing is not clear, definitely reach GP After 9pm but when after is the question. Too many variables. I will try to work it out.

If for some reason we are early (like with 3-4 hours to spare) then we will join you guys for dinner. If cutting it close i.e. 10.00pm onwards will hit GP directly.

We will let you guys know via SMS...

So sunday, you guys go for dinner at ard 8.30pm and we will either join you at dinner or you can proceed to GP after a long makan (say end 10.30pm) and we'll meet you at GP.

Will take a few of your hp numbers and SMS you.
