Well to my limited knowledge, Vance & Hines doesn't have any EC compliant slip ons for mufflers (with cats AND silencers), dat's y I think it is HIGHLY unlikely that there will be homologated slip ons for Sportsters. Furthermore, our market is extremely small so there is no way V&H would even consider manufacturing something special just for our market. WTH they might not even wanna provide any documents for the brutal homologation process LTA imposes.

 

So if I have missed out anything, someone, please enlighten me.

Was at VICOM Kaki Bukit yesterday afternoon about 4.30pm for IU inspection on my transport bike, while on my way back along the road under the Kaki Bukit flyover towards Kaki Bukit industrial park, saw a police van parked along the stretch of the road with a few TP ambushing motorbikes coming out from VICOM or on their way to the workshop in Kaki Bukit Industrial park. Mind you, the TPs are not on bike but van.

 

Saw a few bikes kana pull over and stopped at the side of the road. Sign.... Sillypore....

Even they have V&H legel pipes, it will never sound nice.

V&H brands by far ... never made nice sounding pipes in my opinions.

Harley is about the machine feels and the sound, other then that, there is nothing to wow about.

Living in SG is so freaking crappy, from the way it goes ... I am planning to sell my Harley.

 

true.... HD nothing special as compare to Honda shadow or phantom, if there is no sound.... without the sound i guess no one can tell if it is a HD or just a normal Thailand made chopper...

anyway i just don't like the idea of posting complaints or information on this forum. This forum is acessible to the public, I believe people are monitoring information provided on this forum by us. Indirectly we are feeding information to them to make them even more smarter or provide them with ideas. i realised that there is no point complaining, nothing can be done ultimately. Either we ride like crinimals or give up. Sad to say that.

Actually, can't really blame LTA or TP. I'm sure they have better things to do, but they have to act when there are complains. Singaporeans are getting intolerant now, and will complain to the authorities on anything that they find offensive, like loud exhaust noise, people smoking along corridors.. as long as the complains can be justified according to law, the agencies enforcing the laws have to take action what..

Bro, what's yr point ? I'm a HD owner/rider and a smoker.. So I see and feel motorcyclists and smokers being marginalized by a very intolerant society.. I make it a point to glide as much as possible when going to the carpark so that I don't get complaints.. I try not to smoke while walking along busy walkways so people don't make funny faces or gestures..

yeah dats very true. But if the authorities make the homologation process so rigid n there's not much real choices out there...coupled with different opinions between lta/vitas guidelines and super ridiculous reasons on why stuff r not allowed like mirrors/handlebars (and I'm not talking about small plastic mirrors and ape hangers here) and we have to keep our bike stock... Where's the freedom in the freedom machine? Seriously no one knows for sure what the hell is allowed an what the hell is not allowed because we cannot use our common sense to do modifications. Vita an lta don't make rules n enforce on common sense. And dat is what is pissing people off. The law is supposed to be drafted n enforced with common sense. I say this because enforcement is done on even not loud pipes... Just not certified.

If one day people look at my bike and say my bike too chrome and when I ride by it's glaring so it's dangerous... Should the authorities act on dat as well? What about my rights? Why listen to the complain kings n not us? Who listen to us and provide solutions?
