This required re-calibration (many call it remap)

just to share about the costing:-

SE Air cleaner kit - $300+

ECM (Re-calibrate) - 300+

SE Slip on torque mufflers - 500+

Total cost to put a smile on my face - 1k after 20% discount..

come to think about it, perhaps more satifaction come from the typical exhaust note after spending this amount.

any way, I put more money on the product that keep it clean & no rust, backache when come to do cleaning.

Which bike did you install? As far as I know, there is no "factory re-map" for the sportsters 883 yet. I was told to purchase the Race Fueler instead. Did you install the 50 states mufflers? Did they sound really good?

If you will have a head crowling (not wind shield), that can help quit a lot even is small. Arc a little on your back a bit and you will find yourself cruising comfortable at 160km/hr.

'Head Cowling' ......? Really? Wow, didn't know it'll help.

How about the lower fairing? Does it help in anyway or juz cosmetic?

I also realised that by ordering from the states, it is much cheaper than from the local HD dealership. 20% off ain't a big deal.

Your problems is simple.

Mentioned about this before. Your tank bag and your semi ape bar. This set up make the rider keep the posture upright. Comfortable for normal riding but screw up for highway.

OIC, thanks for the tip

:btw: may I know how you guys calculate the FC?

I using this method:

I pump the bike to full tank at mileage 7769km, then go for ride, I pump again at 8094km & the amount of fuel I pump is 17 liter.

Therefore (8094km-7769km) divide by 17liter = 19.1km per liter. Is that the correct way to calculate FC consumption?

Thanks

I Keep a file like this on my desktop and update each time I buy petrol or spend on my Ride (Tabs for previous rides removed). Only takes about 30 seconds and I have a running history. You may find it usefull. Details are for my 01 FLSTCI.

I set the trip meter to zero after petrol top up. At the next top up, just check the mileage of the trip meter and divide by the litres of petrol pumped in. Just make sure the tank is top up fully each time. Unless you are doing some statistic data analysis, this should be sufficient.
