Gelang Petah Esso, would like to know where is the nearest U-turn back to SG for people who go 2nd link for petrol top-up.

do people U-turn first then pump or pump then U-turn back to SG?

also will be helpful to know what's the distance from 2nd link customs to the petrol kiosk.

thanks in advance for the advice!!

aggar from 2nd link customs to esso is abt 10-12 km

there are a few ways to get back

1. exit at Bandar Nusajaya and u will see the singapore sign

2. exit at Gelang Patah and make illegal U turn back

3. under the bridge method before the esso petrol stn

note that north bound esso to south bound esso via route (1) is abt 10km

Bandar Nusajaya is before or after GP Esso?

under bridge method? is it some kind of illegal turn?

not really. but very hard to describe to you thru words

its somewhere in the R&R carpark before the makan area u will see 2 "pillar" to enter and go thru some forest road with road and enter something like a tunnel for a short while.

this way only takes about 5km to reach southbound esso but dangerous to go at night.

Bandar Nusajaya is after GP esso, and after Gelang Patah exit. u can actually look at the area map located outside GP esso on the left side of the station on the wall outside facing the pumps

If you're new to 2nd link, do not attempt the illegal u-turn if you're going alone or with a couple of fellow newbies.

Always follow the correct path first.

After the Malaysian Tol, just go straight. Do not be overly fast for you will miss the exit.

Check the signboards for 312C - Bandar Nusajaya.

You will enter a roundabout.

Then enter the roundabout after this one. (U-turn so to speak)

Then go straight. U will see SINGAPURA.

dun worry, i'm not totally new to 2nd link, just that i usually go further north. so now trying to find out the shortest path if i go in to pump petrol. i usually go 1st link though.

Don't worry about finding shortest path.

The 312C u-turn is short enough.

I don't see much gains cuz travelling by the backroad is not really a fun affair to say the least as the road is dark, the roadsigns are whacked by the addicts and the surfaces aren't really good (I tried once, saw a huge watermelon husk on the road and never did try again).

I second that.

312C is your best bet to the nearest, most safest way to u-turn back towards Customs.

shortest route ever is, after u pay for ur malaysian toll, straight away cut thru the "center divider" they are all cones set up there only. Straight away hit the OPPOSITE side of the NSHW going back to singapore. The petrol station is right there when you crossed the cones. No 312C or wat dark road. just CUT only.

You been to JB via 2nd link before?

The so-called U-Turn point is simply the Highway 312C exit. It's a cloverleaf highway so 2 turns -- 1 to exit the highway and another ahead to enter it, makes a U-turn.

Confirmed.

Affirmative.

Just ride slow and ensure you've got enuf gas to last you back.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

hello guys, i'm back!! safe and sound!!

Really thank you so much everyone for the directions and advice.

attached are pictures i took of the 312C exit and GP Esso/Petronas/Shell.

hope the pictures will help those who are going in for the first time.

this one is the 312C exit. once exited, follow the bend and keep left and very soon u'll see the Singapura signboard. bend is rather steep so dun go too fast as adviced unless u're really confident.
