Thanks Tincan,

It feels good that a bike created in "tiny red dot" Singapore can earned high praises from the US, the land of plenty, Arlen Ness & American Chopper.

"Daniel, incredible job! Besides the obvious good taste what makes the bike so nice is the way the Monster style, beauty and character are preserved in spite of the major modifications."

"this month's bike sucks! because I will never have anything nearly as cool as that in this life. or the next. "

"So far this gets my vote for Monster of the Year! It's both inspiring and humbling at the same time. I kinda feel inadequate now. Sniff."

"Great work of art. Why didn't we see this in the monster challenge? You set a new standard?"

To borrow a phrase from our neighbour, "Singapore Boleh!"

Anyone selling their M4?

Im looking for a good condition (aka starts first time, problem free, well maintained, accident free) set of wheels.

Colour not impt.

If it comes with a set of Termis pipes, that would be excellant! :D

Please state details and price, thank you very much.

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

Well, I think they'd be even more bowled over if they know about the virtually non-existance of skilled fabricators in our country....

Yes, it's real frustrating at times.

Like the headers, first I tried Sxxx Kxxxx (we all know who they are - hint: ERP brackets). The way they talk, you would think that you need to be a rocket scientist to be able to fabricate the headers. Very arrogant too. So, decided that it was not worth it. The next option was to try to get it done in JB. That didn't work out well either. The end result was really bad. In the end, I fabricated the headers myself. That was one problem... there were many others.

John Britten (who created his own bike in his garage in "ulu" Kiwi land and then raced it at Daytona) was my inspiration!

That bike doesn't really have a frame. The front end is bolted to the engine, the rear end is bolted to the rear of the engine...

Thats why its so fast! Minimal components, and breakthrough aerodynamics :thumb:

Hi, while travelling along TPE today, the bike started to stutter at top gear (was travelling about 80+). Downshifted to 4th and the stuttering was gone. However, the stuttering started again as I got to the neighborhood roads near my place - this time at 3rd gear.

What could be wrong?

First thing to do is to check your spark plugs.

Or, there might be water in your fuel tank.

Since we are on the topic of spark plugs could i get some recommendations as to which are the most suitable spark plugs for Ducati M400s? I am currently using some koyak NGK plugs for no other reason that they were the plugs in my bike when i bought it. Mike @ KC tells me they are not suitable for monster after inspecting the size of the plates and the gap. He tells me there is a specific Spitfire plug which works very well but can't name the model or a place to get it. Anyone have any tried-and-tested suggestions for plugs (Spitfire or otherwise) and where to get them?

Posted

Well, the $2 champian plugs work fine, just make sure they're gapped properly, and you use the correct heat rating.

Irridium sparkplugs do work too, but once again, make sure its the correct heat rating. Our air cooled machines seem to be more sensitive to heat rating of plugs.

Posted

You think LAB will have a range of heat ratings for their plugs for you to choose from?

I don't think so.

Just go Minerva workshop and buy a couple of spark plugs. They're relatively inexpensive, but can cause really serious damage if the wrong type is used. Gap them properly with a feeler guage.

bah, going to the agent...i'm such a moron why didn't i think of this before....mike was telling me to get champion plugs frm LAB only for some reason, and as usual, he didnt mention type or heat rating. thanks 4 the advice neo, appreciate the heads up. i'll drop by minerva workshop tomorrow.
