Basically for liquid cooled V-twins, power is comparable to displacement one step lower. Example, the 1litre 999 is comparable to a 750cc inline4. For air cooled ones even worse. Top end of the 400cc Monster looses to hornet 250 :(

 

But what it lacks in top end it makes up in torque all round. Its a different experience, being able to pull easily from low RPMs. And the vibrations, the induction sound, the V-twin exhaust sound.... :thumb: You just don't get that on any inline4s :D

No la, i cant afford a Strada. keke so a Monster m400 is a cheaper choice, btw is ok lah, who care abt top speed and etc losing to this bike or so. You ride with passion of Ducati will do. If i get a M400, i will hack abt the rest, like you change to pipes that save LIFES hahaa.. Really la, see if the other party willing to sell bo lor.

Yea, Monster 400 is the cheapest and least painful way to get your butt on the wonderful Ducati machines... Still dreaming of owning a 999 one day though :D

A bike doesn't have to be powerful to be fun to ride, like Vespa! :D Phantom nice bike ma, go and mod it up nice nice, can be a very nice, reliable, economical kata also leh.

 

Anyway, play in Orchard road? Ai si ah? Cannot ah, I safety rider in this small little island. I obey all traffic rules and speed limits one. Wanna play go mountain roads like Frasers, Genting etc la, where the Monster is born to be! :D

aiyo... vespa is a diff story lahz... where can u find vespa 1000cc one?? no rite??

kruzer every where oso got ahz.. i even own one myelf... confirm will compare one mahz.... the valk is FAR more comfy den the phantom... hw much i mod on a fantom wil still b the same.. juz 200cc niaz... not worth lahz...

wanna mod.. mod a cl 2 bike... the one u like to ride n kip...

Hey Neo, Shoei , Ayuluv, Free on 26th Nov bo? Friday nite at SPANS ( Ah Hood Road ). BBQ for Hornets and friends. Per head $10 bucks. got mini buffet and bbq. neo, maybe you can ask Xiao-P to come along as well???

cagiva n mv augusta same company.. juz they specialize diff bike lor...

mayb cagiva bikes mayb cheaper since they use a suzuki TL engine.. which is readymade... juz nid to tune...

as 4 mv augusta... all inline 4... tink its their own engine.. dats y price super high....

tink got one ver of F4S 1000 cost ard 30000 pounds... dats much more den the ducati limited 999 R wor.... :giddy:

but den.. i still believe if ducati came out wif a L 4 engine... (now L twin)... the price will oso shock us wor.. hee....:cheeky:
