Its been done in the past. My advice is not to do it. Good enough results if you drop in KNN or BMC filters.

more like it'll give more prob then benefits. can be tuned for good low end but will end up with too much air at the top, or tuned for good top but low end will end up too rich.

Better not to do so, you will know what i meant if you are riding on a rainy day. Secondly, during your low spd, you will find your bike having very rich in fuel and high spd, you will have flat spot..My 2 cents advice

hi all, just wondering what is the normal operating temperature for my monster 620 ie 2002? during bad traffic it went up to like 260 degree fahrenheit dunno if its normal the bike is in indonesia btw which gets very hot during the day. another thing, does any body know how to change the measurement from fahrenheit to celcius? thanks heaps...

That is 126 deg celsius, which is very very hot by engine standards. The oil is no longer lubricating as its properties most likely is destroyed. Install an oil cooler and it should help a lot. I will turn off my bike at 110 deg max. BUT your monster is an aircooled one and may have higher tolerance for higher temp.

200-220F is ideal temp for oil.

I am afraid I am busy till next year. Definitely feeling the pressure of sailing again and much of the spare time has to be committed to training. However, if someone else organizes and I have some time last minute, there could be a small chance that I can come along. Maybe try asking Alvis, he is quite on now.

thanks man for the info...mine is also air cooled, wow i should stop the engine next time it reach 260F, do u happen to know how to change the measurement from F to C? i tried to meddle with the buttons but nothing seem to work, really appreciate it if anyone can help. cheers....
