Velocity stack as wat i know is just a simple attachment to the throttle body. Looks like a trumpet thingy. OEM ones are usually taller n wider at the openings. Its designed to smooth out the intake. Something like a "venturi" effect. Just my 2 cents worth. Sorry if im wrong. :thumb:

i think you need to re-degree ur cams and change ur exhausts in order to feel the difference in the power. the v-stack from factory pro is recommended....

I know the logic behind "venturi" effect. The opening is larger than the actual body itself. Hence when the engine draws in air it creates a speed up effect when air is passing thru the throttle body. Normally, we will grind the inner part of the throttle body smooth so air will "glide" thru faster n not creating to much air turbulance. But wif a V-stack, the surface is already smooth. It shud create a faster response from mid to high range of the RPM but not significant on the lower ranges.

Carmaron is right. Once u meddle wif the intake, all tat air will need to be dispel n so its only wise to do up the exhaust. :thumb:
