If not sure gone wif the wind, unless u meant sumbody stole ur canvas den i got noting to say lah. At most, write ur name BIG2 on the canvas, the thief oso wud tink twice when wanna steal. dats wat i did on my canvas.

Just spoke to yamaha service center. They told me that i'll have to replace the whole locking set. It's abt $85 for a pair w/o installation.

Thank god they currently have stock. Will probably go n get it done tomorrow morning.

Bro, try calling AUto Machinery at Rowell Road, behind Desker Rd / Mustaffa Centre. They might sell it much cheaper.

I'm also considered a sad man today..i self skidded at my MSCP today.

carpark was fully wet for no reason since its not even raining and when i say wet,it means the straight lane and slopes all WET!! tome now is 2030hrs.

MSCP washing was done at 1500hrs and personally saw it before i went out.

The best thing is there is oso oil on the surface, and of coz a wet look really dun make a diff whether its water or oil. i was bringing at a slow 15km/h and oso taking note of the wet surfaces. on the straight lane riding at slow speed, somehow my back wheel skidded for no apparent reason and i FELL!!!

tis the 2nd time after owning my Dark Angel..

Got up and carry the bike up. luckily no major damages HENG! only slight scratched of my side mirror. Parked my bike and went down to inspect the area.true enuf the wet look was OIL + water. and the whole MSCP was covered by it. must be some lorry leaking oil sumwhere..

called the Town Council to inform them abt the incident and how it would be a hazard to others..

upon ending the call, ANOTHER BIKER also Skidded!!

so a word of caution to all,no matter how slow ur riding ALWAYS ALWAYS keep a lookout for any hazards around.

And I was wondering whenever I saw your bike park in the carpark.

Why you don't cover it with a bike cover, maybe you have a "Bo Chap" attitude

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Arul, where do u stay? Maybe I try to meet up with u and have a look at ur bracket lock. Wanna take preventive measures b4 I become a victim too.

I've been having sleepless nights thinking abt the security hazards as well as the slippery floors at the MSCP. Damn :giddy:

dude, jus to share my experience on slippery...nearly fell too while riding the FJR at my se MSCP...but my case is only water, cos after heavy rain, the cars driving into the MSCP sure bring it in one. so there i was, riding slowly after turning in...ooops, twist of the lille bit of throttle, backwheel skidded (luckily nvr fell).. my S4 also happen too.. so.. i guess its not just speed that is the factor, throttle control too...a bit of hardy on it, will bring the rear wheel spinning at speed = 0km/hr

bro, once ur done fabricating the lock do let us know abt it aite..will want to do it on my panniers as well..and possible share some pics too so the FJRians here can see how it looks like and perhaps do one for their panniers.that is 1 reason why i covered my bike each time i park at my MSCP before heading home.

Big $$$ = Big SECURITY..i dun mind. :thumb:

well it seems that its a common problem regarding the MSCP slipperiness..to all FJRianz pls be careful especially after ascending or descending the slopes.
