hi,guys,need help..

my '02 FJR suspension is having problems..i'm 95kg,and riding on it feels very soft..any suggestion??or place to repair the spring??and anyone here changes the suspension to ohlins??:cheeky: :cheeky:

look at ur nick thought u r a super light weight rider :cheeky:

the ohlins suspension cost SGD1800 without installation i think.. :sweat:

the original susp can be service by experience mech, think don't need to change spring, just change oil or gas + oil seal can liao..

about the original susp very soft issue, micheal cheong have told me he can add a collar to the susp & make it harder..but i personally prefer the rear sups to be soft..as i can't handle my FJR if the rear susp is hard :giddy:

Bro, look at my posts on page 122-123.

 

Yups..fully adjustable ohlins rear shock cost $1800 but its wif installation.

Highly recommended to change the front fork springs to ohlins as well if getting ohlins rear shock. I've ordered the front fork springs as well and its here, pending installation at sporting motors. It'll cost another $400plus inclusive of the springs, ohlins fork fluid and workmanship.

 

The rear shock is fully re-buildable and will cost around $300-$400 for full servicing.

OEM shock for ABS model cost around $1100 and is not rebuildable.

 

So far I'm very pleased with the rear shock...stable rides at high speed even with pillion. Only felt that the front is a bit soft..I'm 70kg by the way, my pillion (wife) around 46kg.

Can also check and compare with other brands of shocks like bitubo, hyper-pro, penske...I chose ohlins cos found it worthwhile to invest as I'm gg to keep the bike for long. :smile:

thks for the info that you guys gave me..will consider getting one ASAP..but the suspension wouldn't like give way in midst of riding??i dun see any oil leaking,but hope to know more info from you guys whether got encounter such incident before a not..

No problem! That's what a forum is all about..for consumers like us to share info and minimise the chances of getting conned by some unscroplous (think spell wrongly, my english not gud) bizmen.

 

Can bring u down to sporting motors if you're interested in getting the ohlins rear shock. :smile:

got a Maroon color FJR came and di siao me... swoop so close to me... with remus exhaust.. so shrill the sound... made mi jump...
