Road Tax Disc

Hi all

 

Need ur help to clarify something. When I first bought my bike, the shop gave me a printout from LTA that I have paid my road tax. I dun think they eventually gave me the actual road tax disc. When I asked them for it, they told me the LTA printout is enuff. Is tat true? If not, where can I get the disc? I noe tat riding w/o the road tax is illegal. Pls advice.

The printout from LTA is evidence that the road tax is paid for already.

 

But, by law, you'll need to display your road tax slip (octagon in shape and blue white colour)in the disc or at least have it with carried with you.

 

Try going back to the shop and tell them that you were stopped by ROV/TP/Police and they let you off this once for not displaying the disc.

 

I'm sure they'll search high and low or may even pay the extra $$$ to LTA for a duplicated copy for you.

if u had paid yr rd tax..there shd be a letter from LTA juz like bro panclanrider said....an octagon shape bearing two date and one of the date is crossed out...u shd have tat for yr own keep...no reason why the bike shop keeps it

 

anyway frm wat i knw..theres no need to display rd tax at all...no worries abt it...been not displayin my rd tax for years....same goes for my season parking...better demand tat letter from yr shop
