ok....just got back from the dynojet dyno. Power was as expected (10% higher than the Factory Pro dyno) but air/fuel was shocking. Heres a pic of the dyno print out from today. 56.6hp and 25.1tq compared to Factory's 51.4hp and 21.6tq

the original page of tt graph was 400grey. so again im not sure they comparing factory vs stock or others.. u guys wanna check it out ?

no two jet settings even if its the same kit will yield the same results. It depends very much on the condition of the engine and that makes a huge difference. What I am trying to say is that lets say given a stock engine of one bike versus another bike of your friend, on paper the stock bhp output is supposed to be 55bhp but due to the way both have been maintained, the results can vary quite a bit. So don't excpect to get the same kind of output when you do tuning as those found on the websites. Its all very subjective.

 

The same goes for fuel economy, one bike's fuel consumption against the other may be a good indication of engine condition but not horsepower...

 

Carb jetting is a very sensitive thing. Tempertures, weather conditions and engine conditions right down to how and who sets it can make a drastic difference in power. It may even be worse. You lose mid range torque or gain top end power or none. Not that it cannot be done right but usually motorcycle set ups are not like cars. Doing one thing at a time may not make much difference, especially if your muffler (end can) is too large a diameter. Some set ups are only recommended for racing and that means sacrificing a lot of mid range power delivery.

 

So please note that if you do not get your precieved results do not be dissapointed. The problem may not lie in your tuning and mods but the condition of your engine. Wear and tear, lack of maintainance and the wrong choice of oil will adversly affect the outcome of the total output in the end.

oh... guess wat, last sat night met 2 of them (King of the East) at ECP. They look as wat u all describe... fierce n b*n*. Anyway very soon we found ourself surrounded by rs250, about 6 of them. Nothing happen thou maybe becos there was 1 big cow (old cow) around.... perhap they hesitate? (juz joking) Juz sharing my story.

Anyway RS250 is a good bike.Used to have thoughts of getting it. These guys would probably spoilt it reputation with their actions. Hopefully I will meet them on the road and they try to be funny with me...
