Got some info from Motoworld that RVF rear suspension can be rebuilt. Is it true?Cos i know monoshocks can't be rebuilt. Also that the suspension spring can be replaced by Hyperpro brand springs.

Rear monoshock can be rebuilt at Bikelab, replacing the spring wont do much, u're better off revalving the whole shock. Bang for buck.

Is it possible to add additional fan in case engine gets too hot?Cos i'm removing the air intakes and using Tyga fuel tank cover.Just want to take a safety precaution.

HI, can anyone tell me the difference between RVF and VFR?

For 400cc is it that VFR is the older version of RVF?

same cc, same v4 engine

vfr older, bigger carb

rvf newer, easier to find parts i guess that all.

maybe handling different but i not sure, hope this helps

a small correction....same design V4 engine but the engine internal parts are all different. The dimensions of the shaft, conrod, pistons are all different...RVF uses lighter engine internal parts too.

for more info on RVFs or VFRs can go to motorcyclelane.com or 400greybikes.com

rvf - inverted fork, vfr - telescopic

rvf 17" rear, vfr 18" rear

the tail light different

vfr doesnt have the stupid air ducts

vfr headlight is round

rear suspension got reservoir - lasts longer

unlike many people in the forum having to redo the rear shock

Don't just break your laptimes, SHATTER them!!

oh i dun mean that u can't go come for meetup... guess i should rephrase my sentence.

cos u were saying that ur bike was sold and u dunno well taken care of or not. So my reply of "dun tink so" was refering to ur bike, but not to you.

Hope it clears the miscommunication

e intake is frm e front so e idea is to store e air then draw into e air box if not when u r ridin @

It not like RAm air so dun be mistaken k..... :cheer:

Anyway RVF is a F**Kin gd bike i miss it

Ok guys....the age old debate whether anot the OEM air intake works or just 2 pieces of thrash??

Dug this up from a old Japanese webby that features the specs of the RVF400 when it was launched many years ago.

http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/motor/RVF/19940100/image/007-002.gif

""Inhalation system as the air which was sucked from the air intake of NASA duct type by the fact that it makes the design which is led to the air cleaner via the duct, rise of intake air temperature is held down , made that the mixture which is always optimum is sent into the cylinder possible, actualized the engine efficiency which is stabilized. Furthermore, it allots the urethane inside the duct of the air cleaner and assures also the decrease of inhalation sound.""

The english is atrocious as Google translated it from japanese text..but you guys get the idea. " rise of intake air temperature is held down" optimising carbueration. Note, the air cleaner in the passage refers to the airbox.

The air ducts are therefore not a direct air intake INTO the airbox (dun understand why Honda dun make it so) but a intake of cooler charges of air to "blast-cool" the ambient temperature around the frontal area of the airbox from where it sucks air from.

As we all know...cool air gives more Horsies compare with hot air being drawn into the engine. Its the same concept as WRX's frontal air scoops, and why some performance cars install "cold-air" intake cone....all the same purpose; cooling by convection.

up to you guys to believe....but this site is quite reliable in its tech info..check it out for youselves. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...Den-us%26sa%3DN

Hi all , went to K & T recently and saw that a piece of paper was

pasted on the wall...... Cifford than tells me that someone riding a

RVF can be so thick skin as to own payment after repairing his

bike refused to pay up after cifford had on good will let him take his bike

out . Than he never came back to pay his balance payment which he

promised to.....................
