Hi all, the mileage of my front tyre is 13000km and according to a mech, my front tyre is damaged and need to replace. He claimed that if the tyre is not replaced, the consequence are bike wobbling and will cause the rear tyre to spoilt too. But, till now, mi ride are perfectly fine so i dunno whether to take his advice anot. Can give mi some of your opinion?

Btw the 'damage' i am toking about is that the edge of the thread of my front tyre are jagged.

May 2005 - July 2007: Honda Phantom TA200 (FU 3*** S)

July 2007 - Dec 2016: Honda CB400 Spec III (FBB 7***X)

Dec 2016 - Aug 2017: Yamaha FZ1N (FBD 4***E)

Aug 2017 - Present: Kawasaki Z1000SX (FBF 6***B)

Your mech advise stands correct...your wheel bearing is oso affected.

Mine oso having the same problem. Front tire uneven wear when I notice it at 10000km. Mechanics say very likely due to bearing spoilt and at wet weather be careful cos easier to skid. Up til now at 14000km, I had not change yet but will do it very soon.

My bike fitted with box and found wobbling at 60km with 1 hand off. That was at 5000km. Another mechanic say got box is like that one but I think very likely is cause by the front tire......

Omg! Hope you are fine after the crashes...

Wet weather performance for M1 is terrible and that's why I changed it fast enough before any crashes...

My advice for you, don't go for M1 or BT020.

Get BT021 instead.

i'm using it... currently 3 months plus old.... i find it doesnt really grip on wet road.. thats why nvr ride fast also on wet road. so far nothing incriminating happen.

Use maxis tire for wet weather.. Power.. It grips the land strong.. I tried to do burnout wif my current tire but failed, my previous tyre can do easily.. :cheeky: :cheeky:

What is the smallest width a Vtec1 can use for the rear? Possible to use 140 like ver s? Would like to try smaller tyre, hehe

Not good for cornering. Best to stick back to recommended size.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.
