anybody tried the aircon glass seating area above the pits?

If u guys scared of ur bike missing can just park behind the grandstand..no need park at the bigcarpak.But u must join the convoy from KL,Dataran merdeka.

Yep...150++ bikes all over from Thai, M'sia and Sg. I'm still wondering how those two Thai vespa manage to catch up and maintain with da bigger CC bikes on the front....

 

I wouldnt called it a convoy, more like a race to Sepang once everyone reach the NSH...

Not only you'll have a free trip, we'll dress you up in primitive clothing, equipped with a spear. Top that with mohawk hairstyle.

 

When someone should try to do something funny to our bikes, bring out your prowess as a primitive guardsman, aim your spear at them and and shout "Yarh Yar Yar Yar Yar Yar!" to scare them away.

 

We'll leave you leftover peanuts from the race as a gesture of appreciativeness. On boh?

I've tried it before.

 

This was back in 2005. I cannot describe how thrilled the experience was. The air-con, the free flow drinks, the chics, the bikes, the stars, the pits, the champagne splatter, unlimited access during the race day.

In 2006, I was on the other side of the fence like everyone else, the experience wasn't the same, the unbearable noise, the heat, dehydration, when the Repsol bikes zoomed passed, it was so quick you can't even tell whether it's Hayden or Pedrosa, not something I would like to experience again.

From my observation, Yamaha had a lounge and appeared to have invited employees and family members to experience it. The Ducati lounge was more exclusive, but those corporate types don't look like they enjoyed MotoGP, just went there for the freebies, the race wasn't even finished, half the room was empty.

 

If only they had given others the opportunity to experience it. They had Ducati backpacks, caps to give away, the Ducati babes were nice, smart and had good manners. One of them in the pic is from SG, I can't remember which one, and was interested in bikes as well and could hold a decent conversation.

If anyone is going on RaceDay only who's been before and knows the way there, I'd appreciate meeting up and following (it's my first trip to Sepang...only been here 6 months -- I will miss Donington this w/e).

So, after doing some research in SBF and some roaming around, you finally settled on a litre-engined Fireblade eh bro?

 

Anyways, the trip is in its brainstorming stage. I'm currently planning to purchase the tickets first. Then maybe a trip way before the day itself to orient myself to the proper route to Sepang.

 

Back to your question -- yes, it'll be great if you can join us as well. We're trying to get more peeps to join as well.

 

In the meantime, check back here periodically or "subscribe" to this thread...that's a sure way to keep yourself updated on any trip itinerary releases or changes.

Oh ok... I call motoworld yesterday, they told me they hav package 4 this event but they do also sell tix. Price is yet to be fixed. They will only start selling in July. Any update i will post here...

I went there today. Pasted on the elevator wall was a notice stating that they were selling a 2 day 1 night package with a hotel stay at $178 -- think it's per room...but it's quite pricey for me.

 

Since they're starting to sell it in July...and I'm intending to get it by then, might as well get on to it by then
