wah, u 1 shot reply all, nv quote and reply the queries :giddy: lucky i clever enuff to spot  thks. i saw the "maybe mentioned hole" mine is with a nut attached (but dunno same hole a not)

which hole u mean? i dun mean "dirty things" uh.. haha :cheeky:

is it the 1 hole right at the bottom of your pipe?

in that case, its a must to have that Nut to cover that hole. tp can catch ok! haha

but take out, able to see some very small backfire and makes the sounder louder! haha.. :p

trance est mon style.

yuppy.... thats the hole.... hehehe..... better to close it coz it disrupt the exhaust air flow.... better to change header cut silencer den taking out the nut... bcoz the pipe produce back pressure coz of catalyzer and if u take out the nut exhaust escape from there..... take it this way.... u want to fart standing up so no sound rather than fart sitting down later got sound.... hehehe just my two sens.... the purpose of that nut if heavy rain just open out the nut and drain out the water..... thats wat i noe lah.... if wrong any body care to elaborate..... heeeeee

Thanks kasumi for sharing :thumb:

Actually I read alot of you guys mention about CDI, what is it? Something associate with kick start?

What impact can I expect from an aftermarket carb? I read Motoworld webbie, saw a Yoshimura underbone carb.

the cdi is for power cutting the limit on your bike... a stock cdi will cut your bike max speed till 120km/h only... a racing cdi will cut away the limit.

aftermarket carb gives your bike more power den your stock carb, but your fuel consumption will be higher compared den your stock carb....

the yoshimura underbone carb cost you $500 before installation and the funnel is $180... and you need bigger piston and block and higher cam for that carb. cause your stock piston and cam cannot take the yoshi carb pressure..

i can take the price of the carb to mod 3/4 of my engine, got carb, piston, block and high cam.....

i hope i answer your question

i dunno why my front brake have the grinking sound when i apply, i thought is because it's wet, so i apply and let go the brake continously, that is what i was taught in driving centre, but the sound still persist. And will my engine overheat if i am still doing running in but i hit ard 90km/hr - 95km/hr ? ? Because i smell smelly smelly when i stop/park my bike, anybody can enlighten me please ?

Thanks kasumi, another nice piece of info.

So a aftermarket CDI with the rest stock is it OK? Aftermarket CDI can pass inspection? Where u recommend I get one and install?

CDI can pass inspection de... you check out on forum got people sell redbull CDI for X1-R de.... you get redbull CDI.... works out good

so what's the cause to the prblem?

the "hole" for housing the bearings is slightly bigger than the bearing. thus causing the bearing to hit against the walls of the hole. temporarily rectified by inserting metal strips to secure the beaings. :faint:

:btw: 3 mechanics say no problem with it after test riding on my bike but i insisted that there is a sound and is fxxking loud so they took out to check :faint:

Sure sure will keep a look out, any regular mechanic will be able to help install it?

You down the front telescopic fork? It seems lower than stock.

Hihi!!

Would you like to trade your Yamaha X-1r 135 with my Phantom200?

Just got it in September on my birthday, but really too heavy for me to handle, therefore been collecting dust in the MSCP.. :cheeky:

Really looking for a light bike now, any reasonable plate would do. =) Below are my bike's details:

Model: TA200

Color: White/Blue

Plate No: FT5xxxD

*Looking to trade one-for-one.. =)

Things changed or done in the past 2 months:

- Rectifier

- Low Maintenance Battery

-Hella Horns(Super Loud)

- New Seats

- Engine Serviced

- Pillion Foot Rest

- New Handle Bars and Grips

- New D.I.D. Chain

- New Sprocket

- Spark Plug

- Clutch Cable

Provided with the bike:

- Givi Rear Box(Can put 2 full face helmet)

- Givi Side boxes (E21) with Aluminum Steel Alloy frame

If interested, please email [email protected] or SMS 9027-9347 for viewing. :p

i think any x1r would be of a newer plate than yours. goodluck in your search.
