Cus i have seen many bike shops like in toh guan east, chua chua kang or ard bukit panjang areas but these shops seemed to be rarely been disscused by our forumers as compare to those motor shops in the east or north.

Are motor shops in the west not good or not as popular as the east/north motor shop that ppl rarely visit those shops?

Btw, jB since u also lived in the west where did u get yr bike?

i never deem its too far to pay installments or whatsoever..SG is so small you can't complain travelling this small distance and wasting fuel..reco my friends some places for bikes to buy they choose those near their house saying close to pay etc..i say its dumb..I pay for service and quality..not pay to get chopped and still have to fork out more and listen to lies.. jeez...ironical I have to travel to other areas sad to say..

Hello everyone,

Could anyone enlighten me of any good motor shops in the west? The motor shops mentioned in the forum were mostly in the east or north.

Hi bro...with regards to your concern...

I would just say that it very much depends on what you are goin to do with your bike and what kind of bike you are riding.

If its just a change of engine oil and other simple servicings i believe most of the shops in the west should be ok.

Just never leave your bike out of your sight. I got a bad experience.

However if you are ridin a big bike and intend to do major servicing like valve clearance, sad to say being a west side rider myself, the competent mechs mostly are in the east and what i do is to let just 1 trusted mech handle my bike be the servicing major or minor.

Like what the other forummer said,Singapore is small so just travel abit more adn have more chances passing by the TPs n ROVs...lol

Can say all bikeshops open to chop we bikers.

Just depend what the bikeshop chops you with either a parang or a samurai sword (your wallet confirm spilt open one) or other chopping tools.

The worst thing that can happen is to get chopped and sliced by the samurai and your bike doesn't get any better.

So be humble n make more friends (those with bike knowledge especially).

So try to learn from others mistake cause sometimes to learn from your own is very2 painful.

Discusing 'live' does have the advantages compared to in the forums as some forummers here might be supporters of some incompetent bikeshop or worst, they are the bikeshop ppl themselves in disguise.

Obviously you'll get a biased and unreliable respond.

Good Luck! :thumb:

Heng motor. u mean the Universal Motors at Bt Merah??

Actually Bt Merah also counted as WEST lehh.. haa. had a few expeienced at the shop beside Speedway, i think got 'castrol' logo one, forgot what name..

ok.. quite good but try to bargain with them lorr

but i still prefer to go back to Bt Merah there, either HKL or Heng Motor (Universal).

Hi everyone, today went to hengs motor bike...just wish to share my exp. with u guys...Went to the Hengs shop saleman eddie...the impression he given me is that he will try to chop those newbie who went to the shop. Hence, this shop is not advisable for newbie to go unless u are accompanied by someone experience.

mostly mototiams in westside are old apek shops that are frequented by uncles and those who ride old bikes. thats what i see. i don know but they probably provide better service than those well known areas. one example is lee huat motor i think. at bukit panjang. its a like a 2 storey rundown bungalow. he sells new bikes like spark 135..new cbx 150..gilera and few other kups. he also have 2nd hand bikes which are realli relli old.

just my 2 cents.

Yamaha 125Z-Oct 2006 to OCT 2010

HONDA CB400 SPEC 1 - OCT 2010..
