shop's name is Hua Chin at bukit batok. i went to get my front light set changed (previously cracked). waited nearly an hour to get anything done.

sat around and waited to get my bike fixed asap so i could see a doc (fever). front light set came in a box with 2 bulbs and the headset. mech took apart front fairings and dropped washers everywhere. suggested to change fork seals and steering cone. i obliged as i do not visit bike mech often. mech attended to 2 bikes that came after me and i have no idea why. (they booked by phone?) work done on bike was okay overall but reassembly was done with impatience. washers were left out, i had to tell him the washers all over the floor were from my bike and he kept acting blur when i pointed out other problems such as non aligned fairing after he took it apart.

here comes the good part, went to the cashier, mech charged me an extra $6

for "extra large something (was in mandarin and sounded like lantern)"

i asked the boss what it was and he said: " "lantern in mandarin" i approached him straight away as he was going to 'attend' to other bikes. i told him the 2 bulbs were in the same box that the head set was in. they were not a seperate item nor were they special. he reluctantly told the cashier to take it off my bill. yes it was about the money, im not a stingy bas***d when it comes to my bike but times are bad and every single cent counts. moral of the story is, check your bill and ask without fear or you will just be another sucker.

went there to change my head light bulb. this mechanic look at my bike than ask, want to change KNN filter boh ? want to fix what booster boh ? Your clutch cable is tight want to change boh ?

I told him, i am happy with what i have in my bike and the extra cents i will keep in my piggy bank under my bike. He shut up and concentrate on my job request.

Is only emergency like head light blown while at PIE than i turn there other than that i will go to Planet to have my bike servs. that O man mechanic the one with the criminal, that awfull looking man look i dont know his name. do a good job.

Any fellow bikers service their bikes at bxlong motor along changi road? I personally feels that this shop goes all out to con newbies like me. Once my Fu phantomTa200 cant start after refilling at the nearby shell station in the morning. On seeing a bike shop ( Bxlong) nearby, i juz push over and ask for their advice. After the mac took a look, he say he need the bike to be left in the shop for a check and call me in afternoon to collect the bike. Before I left i also ask them to change the engine oil.

At about mid afternoon, the boss called me and told me my bike is ready for collection. I asked him what happen to my bike. He claimed there is some "dian zi" problem (electrical problem) on my Ta200. So i went down to the shop, after seeing my bike i saw all my chrome screws were change to those cheapo screws. There was a tear in on rubber cover which covers the spark plug. Lastly i was inform that my batt no power, was change to another batt. They told me they put in a shinco batt which "veri good". so being a newbie i listen to them. But the most shocking was the bill they qoute me, it was $160. I immediately reason out with them but they refuse to reduce the price and also refuse to say what they have repaired or remove. I was realli angry and also stupid enough for being a carrot for them to chop. anyway I L L pay the money and left the shop.

Fellow bikers, has anyone being a victim of this shop?

I was Browsing around this forum for weeks for a good motortiam to get my Phantom ( I tink i am e youngest phantom rider, 20 Years old only, but Chopper bikes are my passion :p) So i came across LOoi's. I went to the shop in the afternoon and it was quite crowded... the Queue to take the lift was a bit long. i finally managed to reach Second Flooor whre they have First hand bikes. I dont wanna buy a Second hand bike cause i am not planning to change bike or get 2A for a long time. Uncle Looi was damn Friendly. He showed me around the place and asked me what kind of bike i like and do i like to speed or go Relaxed. He then recommended me the Phantom. Well it looked really cool. and He showed me a photo Album of Heavily Modded Phantom which look like Drag Racing Bikes and Some Couple of Harleys. This Laqeour ( damn i forgot the spelling) Paint jobs on the Bike was Fantastic so Without Hesitation i said yes i will buy it. After Every Paper work was done this is what i got for free :p

IU unit

2 Helmets ( after begging him LOL)

1 Free Box ( can fit 2 Helmets )

1 Free Rain Coat

1 Free Bike cover

Free P-Plate

Well i think those are enough for me... oh i forgot to mention how much i paid for these? ...............just 5100 (outside Shops quoted ard 6800 or 6500 i was shocked to hear 5100 thats why i rushed to Looi today to get the bike :p

What makes this shop commendable?

The price of their new bikes are lower than most bikeshops. The boss took in my 4yrs old Honda Deauville for $5500. Most shops only give $5000-$5100.

The price Fazer 1000

Bike Production

O.T.R - $18.1k(1st party)

Trade in - $5500

(IU not included)

Others

O.T.R - $18.5k - $19.5k(TPFT)

Trade in - $5000 - $5100

(IU included)

Price of Insurance

Had a check for NTUC Income 1st party and TPFT. If i will to buy for them, 1st party will cost me $3250(after 15% NCD & the extra 10% discount) and TPFT will cost me $1420(after 15% NCD & the extra 10% discount).

Guess which word had this meaning.

1. Any code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another, esp. an unwritten code of sexual behavior permitting men more freedom than women.

2. A set of principles permitting greater opportunity or liberty to one than to another, especially the granting of greater sexual freedom to men than to women.

3. A set of principles establishing different provisions for one group than another; also, specifically, allowing men more sexual freedom than women.

Hello,

How come nobody talked about Wills motor?

I've heard that a real good mech just started work at Will Motor. His nick is Ah Meng. Formerly from Sporting Motor. I've let him do a check on my bike and i must say, i'm impressed by his care towards my bike.

But i've not let him do any big/heavy servicing. so i don't know about the quality. anyone knows?

Personally, i feel that for those small small servicing, any motor shop mechs have the ability to do an acceptable job. It's only a matter of getting chopped or not... ;)

Went over to the shop, my main purpose was to check whether my clutch plates and cable was still usable or not, when i want to start my bike, it gave way...there was no volts into my bike...then san said my battery is finished! then check my retificer also finished burned.

When replace with new retificer the volt was still below 13v then my biggest fear was the magnetic coil, and when opened indeed it was the coil, burned as well....connected stuff is always like this...So change that too...i told san to take his time and when done, give me a call...cause he say need to get stock and fix it up at least 2-3hrs...

Waited till like 5pm then he called to call the bike...The whole bill was $582 but discounted to $553..Magnetic coil was $270, retificer was $190, magnetic gasket was $18, battery yusa was $89, service charge $15. It was a hot day that my pocket was burned, but cant blame cause 4 years old liao, my bike....but i like their service...

i went there a couple of times to ask prices. each time with different people and each time he quoted a different amt. 2nd time i went there he quoted me a price and he said its OTR w everything cept for IU(it was only when i asked abt IU). So I said ok, i'll be back. So i went back again and this time that cocky old man said he didnt add another 120. for duuno wad transfer fee. and another 100 extra if i'm paying in full cash. but if i buy nx month then its $50 off. (?!?) and immediately aft he quoted me the overpriced price, he quickly hid the paper he was writing on in the drawer. i got rather fed up with his increasing 'hidden cost' that he claims is all covered already. But I cant deny that his prices are lower. And maybe cause of that he's damn cocky and hao lian.

Urrgh! any same incidents?
