I see a number of people coming to forums to feel sorry for themselves as they fail along the way. I fell thrice on 1.01, failed 1.02 once but nothing's gonna stop me!

Today's my lesson 2! And Im incredibly looking forward, and looking further till the day I pass. I always try to be Optimistic and give myself an encouragement pat each time I fail or if i think I cannot make it. Be calm!

Im just sharing my joy here in this forum although im only still a learner,

Plus Im a female with short arms! Haha

Cant wait!!!

Hello!

Yes just keep at it :) Try to enjoy each lesson and not obsess too much about passing it. I used to think of it as paying for the time given to 'play' with the bike (since we're learners and we can't ride outside of the school by ourselves).

You'll likely come to a point where you feel like giving up, where the end is nowhere in sight. That's the tipping point that all riders would probably go through and it would depend on how much you want it.

;)

But when all is done, totally worth it!

all the best!

2.01 passed

Great! :) Enjoy your lessons as much as you can. After all, you paid for them..haha.

I'm not sure what 2.01 means though. Cos I took my lessons at SSDC even though BBDC was the nearest to me. Hmm..

Not trying to demoralize you but be prepared to fail prac 2 a few times, it is the norm at BBDC as right-turn plus lane change is 1 of the most critical practical skills and it can easily give you a failing mark by doing this 2 things. A tip about common mistakes students make is wide/sharp right turn. For lane change, most common mistakes is, no adequate acceleration during lane change, improper angle position during lane change, abrupt lane change due to turning of handlebar or leaning during lane change. Proper lane change angle should be at most 30 degree from central line of normal straight line riding, during lane change, look far away of the lane you are going into and your bike will follow suit in the direction you are going.

Ssdc structure how de?

In BBDC they break the practicals down into parts.

2.01 is blindspots n slopes

Been a while..but basically:

1: Moving off and subsequently changing gears and mini circuit (going round and round)

2: Slope and plank/pylon slalom

3.1: Crank course / figure 8

3.2: Circuit test route orientation I think?

4: Circuit assessment

5: Road lesson 1

6: Road lesson 2

7: Final assessment before booking TP

Keep learning and ask more question on bike learning process. And you will know 2B bike learning is fun, failing each practical lessons means you have to find ways to improve your riding skills. Once cleared practical 8 , yippee go for TP. 2 months into waiting, you still have to go for more road , circuit revision lessons.

Once passed TP, buy bike, hone your riding skills....

I found my circuit revisions before TP to be quite fun. And it's affordable as well compared to 2A/2 revisions. That, and the canteen is just there, no harm making a quick stop for a drink when you're tired ;)

But thats in SSDC..

I passed first try at BBDC last month. Total spent 1250 because I had to repeat a lot of lessons....1.02 x 3, 1.03 x 5.

My advice is...don't focus on passing lessons. Focus on learning! Do extra things...ask many questions...try little stunts here and there....don't be afraid of getting scolded! By the time I finished 8.01 I was 90% sure that I could pass TP first try because of the pain I went through....haha.

Anyway if you need tips or ask questions to recent graduate....just ask me here...

After your rte, how long did u have to wait for rtt?

Posted

I couldn't attend my first RTT because of urgent work, then second RTT passed. Close to 3 full months between RTE and RTT like that.

Time between RTE and RTT pass very fast lah....got so many lessons that I needed to repeat :cheeky: in the end I passed 5.02 and RTT same week...just nice book TP.

thing you need to look out for each practical lesson is being too nervous of excited that cause u to do wrong things and especially wobbling. You should be doing more on course like, wooden plank, stallon pillon

Shaiful taught 3.01 well....they seem to assign him 3.01 a lot....haha

Can give you good tips for plank and shalom lah...but the best is try to go through the lesson first with open-mind...don't let our opinions affect too much. if you fail first try then talk :cheer:

usually stage 1, 2 require more practice to clear. because need to get used to the bike from zero experience. after that the rest of the stages can be cleared quite smoothly.

The assessment stages are the hardest lessons! 5.01, 5.02, 8.01! The other lessons you just need to fake it until you make it, or the instructors are forgiving anyway. But they never give chance for assessment stages:dot:

7.01 is very hard too, because U-turn easy to fail due to wide turn or lose balance....in the end TP test is easier than 8.01 by far. I started at 1030am and no vehicle on the roads...everyone at work already. The testee behind me even caught up lol
