Ok, pasal besok my co tutup, in lieu of Saturday Deepavali, so the opis pun semua mcm ada somekind of holiday mood

The followings may not interest to most. If so, sila simply Ctl+Alt+del. However is a handy reference kalau;

1 - nak quote salary for part-time job, after your normal working hrs.

2 - nak calculate how much to earn comfortably per day in order to quit the present job to start bisnis in bukak kedai dodol ker, kedai gunting ker, kedai dobi ker, kedai makan ker, rumah urut ker etc.

Start;

Just wanna share some info of how ones can calculate how much he/she worth to the Co for ONE day work (approx ajer).

Let put myself as guinea pig; the basic of my work & remunerations are as follows (eg);

1 - $1000 : basic pay per mth

2 - 20% : CPF by employer

3 - overtime nil

4 - 13th mth bonus, Nil (u may think I am kidding here, but that's the fact)

5 - 21 days : Annual leave

6 - 2 days : Child care leave

7 - 11 days ; sanctioned Public Holiday

8 - 5 days work per week

9 - 8 hrs work per day

( a ) ==>> Item 1, 2 : 1000 + 20% = $1200 (my actual pay per mth)

( b ) ==>> Item 5, 6, 7 : 21 + 2 + 11 = 34 (my actual leave per yr)

( c ) ==>> Item 8 : 5 days x 52 weeks per yr = 260 (days of work per yr)

( d ) ==>> Item 9 : 8 hrs x 5 days x 52 weeks per yr = 2080 (hrs of work per yr)

Summary (if the above is hard to digest):

At $1200pm x 12mth = $14400 per year (annual income)

260 work days minus 34 leaves = 226 net workdays per year.

At $14400 P.A. divide by 226 net workdays = $63.72 per day of what I worth.

At $63.72 P.D. divide by 8 net workhrs = $7.97 per hrs of what I worth to the company : weep:

Kalau ones is on 5.1/2 day basis, then the gross work days per year is 286 or 2288hrs per year (similar item 'c' & 'd').

Kalau ones is on alternate saturday, biasanya sama ngan those on 5.1/2 day pasal they got to work longer hrs.

Kalau annual leave cuma 7 / 14 / 18 days or kalau ada 13mth bonus, do adjust accordingly.

Kalau those yg on 5.1/2 days work & Public Holiday falls on Saturday ... nasib ler pasal that 1/2 day work dikira 1 day oso by the company, means the feel of PH is 'less'. Do adjust accordingly also.

Kalau nak quit job to start bisnis, the expected daily earned figure need to add say 15% - 20% more, pasal the above tak include variable bonus, medical benefit / medical leave / hospitalization leave.

5. Thanks to Tuan Rumah for her willingness to provide the place for us. Yang maner nak bawak perut or anak tekak aje, korang standby after the perjumpaan ~ cuci pinggan mangkuk & kemas rumah. Kalau nak ampu tuan rumah pun bole jugak, dengar2 dia masih single.
