Reading from what u describe, pehak yg bersalah is U. U are not suppose to ride in between 2 moving vehicles or even share the lane with other moving vehicle.

 

That fellow can dont pay if he is smart & can argue his way through. If I am in his shoe, I will say that I dont see u at all bcos u suddently appear on the left & I hv already made my intention clear by signaling early (bohong nak selamat, afterall it's your words against mine).

 

Anyway, reading inbetween the lines, seems that the driver was also bingung & macam ingat dia pon salah. Best is u get private settlement from him FAST b4 he oso ask for others opinion in his circles. Dia tak mau buat insurance claim pasal tak mau hilang NCB which can be as much as 30 - 40 % kalau mempunyai record yg baik (macam aku ), which can amount to 3-4 hundred yearly. Kalau dia nak settle 2-3 hundred pun dah kira orait (imo) daripada tak dpt langsung if u / him buat report later. Tell him abt ur delima, the repair costs & the medical u hv to endure. I noe it's a far cry from the amount u hv to pay repairing ur bike & the medical fees plus all the hassle, but as mentioned, it seems to be u at fault.

Thursday, kadang kadang OT Kadang tidak..

Friday, kadang kadang OT kadang kadang TO..

Saturday, MAAM BESAR (yaitu saya - self appointed) TAK APPROVE any OT to be carried out on this day. Its officially declared as HOLIDAY..

 

He's working 12 hours shift.. Kadang2 kesian tgk dia bila sunday kena kerja tapi apa boleh buat kan??? Kalau tak kerja bukannya BOSS kecik boleh kerja.. hehehe

halo nedomar, so sorry to hear about your accident. seems like banyak repair have to be done to your bike and 4 days MC means ur injury is quite bad

 

so sorry to say that we bikers always get the LOWEST priority in these scenario - riding between lanes like your case, the driver can always say u are trying to makan the lane before him. i supposed there are some scratches on the left side of the van, which means there evidence to his "so-called" defensive statement unless there are scratches at the bumper (which i don't think there is, right?)

 

in singapore, the law is u hit u pay.....so if he hit u from behind, then ur claim will be much more stronger....

 

like others, i prefer to have private settlement with the guy - fast and convenient even though the $$$ mite not be up to your expectation but at least there is something instead of nothing

 

but....

 

since u dah buat police report at CGH, i'm not quite sure how this case gonna be settled

 

niwei, in future, ride carefully - by paying more attention to other road user esp. in heavy traffic jam. slow down when approaching a bend, traffic light or junction. try to think 5 seconds ahead - meaning: think of all possible actions by other road user , in this case, the van driver.

 

p/s: to de-stress yourself, why not come down to east coast and join us for BBQ??

Defensive Riding is the BEST ... Ingat lah orang2 yg tersayang ... Dont get influnce from those who might intimidating u. If riding a smaller bike, I wld suggest that u ON the headlight at HIGHBEAM from 7am to 7pm. I always do so especially when squeezing thru the jammed hiway.

 

Comedown this coming BBQ on 29th ... payment is secondary, except u got to find a kind soul to tumpang u in ... I already got a pillion
