i remember fowler for his chip penalties and brilliant one touch balls and also his goal celebration sniffing at the white lines as though he's taking drugs..

great strikers are born...

 

you cant teach a striker how to sniff out a goal...or how he is supposed to stand in a penalty box...or where the goal is when his back is towards the goal...

 

the feeling just comes...

 

other great strikers are people like van basten...remember how he scored for holland at that acute angle....he just let fly 1st time...went it at the far corner...this type of thing...cannot teach one!

Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

strikers' instinct..

 

nowdays.. van nistelrooy, inzaghi are examples of strikers dat haf the knack of being at the right place and at the right time..

Mark Gonzalez is set to leave Liverpool for Real Betis after one season at the club.

Rafa Benitez today confirmed the two sides had "almost" reached an agreement over the Chilean winger.

 

Bolo Zenden, whose contract expires in the summer, has also been told he can talk to other clubs.

 

Benitez said: "I was talking with him before and I said he could talk with other teams. He knows the situation.

 

"It's clear some players will leave. We almost have an agreement with Real Betis for Mark Gonzalez."
