But nonetheless, that's the spirit.

I thought liverpool played badly. Passes are lousy, strikers not understanding each other enough, defence is atrocious. To be frank, i enjoyed arsenal match more.

Liverpool played badly, but this is going to be the last badly played match this season! Watch out for the wrath! Competing for top spot is still on!

Well, I'd agree on most of the points.

But they still have spirit to fight on. That needs to get infected more to the rest.

Also, midfield still not pushing up and providing service upwards to the strikers. But at least it was better than in the midweek UCL match.

Liverpools can fight well as long s their team morale are high... Although i dun really support liverpool but i admit their team morale is high enough to thrash any of the UEFA CUP/Champion League.....

LOL... 5th in league is struggling... lol Man Utd came from the bottom half of the table for the 1st time in 5 years.. please give me a word for that..

no one is saying sven is not doing a good job.. actually, no1 is having any probs with fans from other teams.. except from u...

newbie is here cos he has a friend here and he doesn't go around insulting ppl.. you are proving urself to be another idiot who thinks too highly of himself.. anyways, other than some money which u may have bet on the games?

i seriously do not believe what u can gain from all these talks.. Are u in a state of depression and need to come here to make urself feel much better about urself?

i think u need a shrink.. or u need to respect others b4 u can find that others will respect u..

or are u here because the man utd thread seems to average about 3 posts in 2 days? you feeling lonely? empty?? you need a friend?

Wow!

Gee, whiz. You really holding that grudge for that long, arh?

This thing was like... 2 years ago man. It was already reported that at that match, the fans involved realized the severity of the injury and gave a standing ovation while Alan Smith was stretchered off. Representatives of the fans apologized for the incident and it was, like, closed and forgotten, all forgiven.

I recalled Alan Smith also mentioned that it was the professionalism of the Anfield medical staff that was one of the major factors that saved his leg as well as his career, the same one that saved Cisse's career.

Wow. You are really behind times and holding a forgotten grudge. That's sad, man. Its time to move on. Time to let go.

Hysel incident is still a discussed issue with Juventus fans. But the fans have made amends and seek forgiveness for an incident decades ago.

To err is human. To forgive is divine.

But I guess you're neither...

My observation is that SG is taking a more defensive role...for the pass 2 games, he did not 'explode' to the opponent's d-box... something is wrong with the midfield, maybe missing xabi?

i tink its a bad thing if the team looks to Stevie to get them out of trouble too often... it'll become a habit and they'll turn slack... i prefer to see a hardworking team with lotsa fighting spirit.. thats the way.... win, lose or draw... you'll never walk alone...

i cant fathom y the two reds fans in the epl is always at the brink of wars? yeah man u fan, your team is great, man u won lotsa honours since Sir Alex is in control in 86. So the Pools are getting it right now, slowly but getting there, so does that make ur blood boil? True fans do not go rounds throwing obscenities at another just becos they draw to TotteringSpurs(sorry spurs fans). True fans respect the game, respect others...

Liverpool may not have attacking flairs of yours Tevezs & tempers of Rooneys, but the Pools have good players in Torres & also SG. Sissoko?? Who?? Have u even read in the papers on Liverpool fans to call them retarded?? So Mr Eric Contona was a good at flying kicks at Palace fan???

Come on, dont be too consumed by angst, fan. No one wants war of words exchanged here. Surely u have better manners than what u show here?

I grow up watching Man U live games on tv as my late father loved the Devils & Cantona. He used to say, Cantona got style & charisma alone to drive Man U to the tops, & boy, did he deliver the goods....BUT did u watch the UEFA Cup finals Liverpool vs ALAVES?? I bet u can't even bear to watch Pools outdid Milan & won the Champs League...I watched Man U matches too...Their FA Cup Final lost to Arsenal when they are dominating. Their miracle goals of Sheringham & Solsjear against Bayern in 99?No? Yes?

Well, to the Liverpool fans, i used got the banters by colleagues & friends alike whenever Fowlers, Gerrads, Xavis, Owens & now Torres, missed a sitter. BUT I certainly dont shout my heads out when Rooneys throw tantrums, Ronaldo takes a dive, Ferdinand shouts about or even when Tevez scored goals...Simply becos, i have respect for MAN Utd. Fantastic manager, fantastic team but a poor poor fan like yourself.

Liverpool may crow about their historic & champions medals, but Man Utds & Chelseas are the team to beat. Have u not heard, if you have nothing nice to say to ppl, just shut up. Learn your history first before bragging with empty vassels.

I say, respect others first & others will respect you.

Lastly, I have admiration for Alex & Man U & also for Liverpool & Rafa, but fans like you, turned me off, unconditionally.

for ur info..we didnt brag about our history like liverpool fans did..talking about winning many trophies when manutd play rival team at OT..unlike liverpool fans always did that to us..it was great to score at kop end and shut them up..and u think that most manutd fan respect liverpool fans??mind u even manutd players dun respect them..remember 1 liverpool fan throw a mobile phone at rooney when he score?neville and ronaldo was abused when taking a throw in??poor gary..he was fined for celebrating a goal by kissing his badge in front of the liverpool fans..poor lad..so if u want respect u hav to earn it.

fans being fans..sometimes emotions do get the better of them...and these cases are quite common...and i believe these fans are delt with fairly.

footballers are professionals..and keeping their emotions in check at ALL times is highly required...be it verbal abuse..or even when a rival fan comes up and punch you in the face..the player SHOULD NOT retaliate....its only up to the FA to handle such cases. as for kissing of the man utd badge for gary neville i personally dun see alot of problem...surely the FA saw more things than us...and its not like we write letter to complain the FA to take action right? its over don't whine over it ok?

as one of the forumer mentioned..even as a pool fan he does not "dislike" man utd....and i am also one of them...im a pool fan since the 80's what kind of glory have i not seen? and what kind of down periods we have not gone thru.....the passion of the game is how a fan stick with their team thru thick and thin...and not be like school girls picking on each other. i do respect man utd and to be fair they have a pretty decent team as well.....over the past few yrs i only slightly dislike chelsea due to the arrogance of MOANrinho and of course their success (i thought) was mainly due to their powerful financial back-up....nothing to shout about...juz gather the "galacticos"

so grow up and type more constructive comments to justify the beautiful game.

That's only you.

Almost every other football professional people put Liverpool in the same group as Barca, Juventus and Bayern.

And these very people, they hold high positions in FIFA, UEFA and the like.

Well, like I said, bro, the fans have apologized publicly in the press for their actions. The incident was put to a close and even Alan Smith has closed the matter.

Only people like you wanna raise it up all over again.

Kinda gets old, you know?

So its wrong for us to brag about our history, its ok for people like you to brag all over about the 'stars' MU gets to buy and brag about 'whacking' other teams.

Nice....

Kinda lopsided, right?

At least here, we keep it in our thread about our history and stuffs.

The very fact that you have to come here from the MUFC thread and start creating a din, makes you as bad as the very Pool fans you are criticizing or, as I fear, even worse.

Nothing wrong with that.

In fact, every team's dream in EPL is to fight for a place in UCL.

A UCL spot means a minimum top-4 spot in their respective leagues, which is a very good achievement.

That includes Arsenal, MUFC & Chelsea, amongst others.

Unless, you're saying MUFC don't belong in UCL & shouldn;t fight for it, which means they should be categorized in the bottom half.....

its true every team's dream wants to play in UCL but manu, chelski and arsenal go for the title...last season its a two horse race..this season i think its gonna be 3 horse race with arsenal doing so well..liverpool?? well..lets see in christmas where they stand in the league to challenge manutd, arsenal and chelski for the title:cheeky: :cheeky:

well...every season fightin for a place in UCL is true...

don't all the 20 teams in the EPL have a chance at it ?

can you tell me which team starts the EPL season with an automatic spot in the UCL the next season ?

each and every team is there to play and try to win the league and like wise also to avoid relegation...

it's a double-edged sword.

fighting for a UCL spot and going for the title is a 2 diff team...so its seems that with the kind of football that liverpool play..i think that they are only fighting for a spot in UCL..i noe its early to say but to win the league there must be consistency and i dont see that with liverpool..chelsea raised the bar so high that big teams cant afford to drop too many points..lets wait till Xmas:)
