Get some speed before you get on the plank, once you're on the plank, clutch in and just roll... ;)

Once you get used to being on the plank then you can try to manipulate the half clutch to moderate your speed.

currently taking 2b at SSDC too.

L1 x1

L2 x1

going for L3(i) on thurs morning.

actually L1 is 2 parts or 1? they made me take L1 part 1(small loop) with gear changing to gear 2 then part 2(the circumference of the 5th floor) with gear changing to gear 3 or 4.

my friend also went for L1 twice, orientation they only said L3 has 2 parts, weird.

Get some momentum early, then you can even clutch in about 1 wheel length before going up the plank. This will take your mind off half clutch-ing and riding up it and balancing. Once on it, if you feel you cant look far, look to the end of the plank. once you reach the middle of the plank, look ahead to the 2nd/3rd cone for the pylon slalom course ahead. (this applies to Level 5 and Level 1 circuits).

SSDC almost everyone L1 kena twice. If you kena instructor Fuad (blonde hair Malay guy); guaranteed twice. To me he is the strictest one of the whole lot, but he isn't unfair. Just very nit-picky.

I've completed all my lessons and waiting for TP test now (doing revisions as well while waiting).

I notice that he takes all the "significant" lessons; like L1, L4 (internal cct assessment) & L7 (internal overall assessment).

Mr. Fuad & Mr Ibrahim (old chap; always take Class 2/2A); strictest ones I've noticed.

I'm not saying they're not nice people. :)

Wow, you guys can remember names of the instructors.

Don't ever forget whatever you learnt in riding school.

Blindspot checking, signalling and defensive riding are impt.

Enjoy the lessons and hope you guys be on the road soon :)

During lesson 1, they want to see if you can change to gear 2 before bringing you guys out to outer circuit, where you can change to 3rd or 4th gear. So lesson 1 actually only got one part.

For lesson 3, there is riding simulator, figure of 8, crank course and E brake. That's why there is two parts.

yea i spent the whole 1hour doing that tiny circuit, omg so annoying.

luckily l2 and l3(i) first time pass. TP test date already in april, gotta clear fast to book!

Passed lesson 3(i) as well.

For those who are going to enroll SSDC class 2B, good news for you all. PDL are not needed for circuit practical lesson. You can complete the circuit practical before your BTT. For road practical, you then need your PDL.

The news is not fake, I have checked with the instructors.

Really? Last night when I went for my 3(ii) one of the instructors stopped an indian guy saying his PDL was expired. He was in the 3(i) group.

Few weeks back, a guy taking his 2A also got stopped because his PDL was 1 day over the expired date.

Once you finished the test, you can leave.

You can attend it any order. Lesson 1, 2, 3 and 4 is required to book RTT. Lesson 5-7 is required to book TP test.

and you can attend orientation first. No need to bring helmet, glove on that day. You can even wear slipper and shorts.
