You know, to extend da knee wen cornering is said to be a guideline thingy rite? Den y is it dat i see sme riders pulling back da knee wen da bike's lean angle get meaner?...

many believe this lean angles are not possible to achieve in our machines.

so they say, dun compare with GP or WSB. but out bikes are comparable in terms of WSS.

 

unlike GP and WSB, in WSS, u r allowed to change ur rear shock and the front, only can change the internals. dun compare engine spec.

 

so what i do in my free time, i download all this pics and study how they position themselves. once i am back on track, i am gonna start from scratch.

 

point to note, they are not hugging the tank

yo, me not expert in this, but will share with u what i know.

 

eg, pasir gudang turn3.

 

there will come a time, when u dare to push for more corner speed, ur bike will lean further. as a result, ur knee goes inwards. aftr several times, u can actually move ur knee around.

 

sometimes when u overtake riders from the outside of turn3, u can keep ur knee on the ground the whole time.

 

knee on the ground is more like a guideline to every rider.

 

if u watch pedrosa in gp, in certain turns his knee is no where near the ground

I gotta agree with the snakeman on this.

 

Knee dragging is fun but expensive... if you can knee drag the whole pg trackday. then you gotta get a new pair of sliders (soft ones)

 

When you start overtaking people from the outside you will definitely knee drag cos you are actually going lower then the guy on the inside.

 

For me, i just guage the knee, when i feel it drag for a while i pull it in and try to push my bike more into the corner if i feel i need more lean angle. This is usually done during corner entry. If you start draggin your knee in mid corner or towards the end then just enjoy the knee drag. Cos going any lower might spoil you lining or slow you down on exit. :thumb:
