NO IU Unit.. anyone kena b4?

Hi guys, just wanna ask. If my bike has no IU, and i went pass the ERP gantry, anyone knows what will happen? e.g:

 

1) will there be any pictures taken?

 

2) if so, what are the penalties incurred?

heh heh.. no lah yesterday i die die need to go PS, then my bike no IU.. well, eventually i did passed the Orchard gantry so now waiting to see got any letter coming or not..

i had to go for inspection for the times that i went thru the erp gantry without fixing iu on my bike. So far no summons at all. Just had to go thru the trouble of going to the inspection centre.

Yes, no IU unit $70.. Cash card not enough money or never inserted cashcard fine $10.50 ($10 service charge and $0.50 is for the ERP gantry). I am a regular for ERP gantry fine... Haha

 

 

The ERP gantry got camera but i dunno will there be any pictures taken? Hope that no fine or letter will come to you.

firstly, did you bike purchase or issued with a iu unit or not? (i mean even if you didn't put on bike but your bike got a iu unit)

 

if yes. get it fixed on the bike asap. the summon will ask u to go inspection centre for checking if the iu unit is faulty.

 

depend on the inspector. but usually this is the case. after inspection and testing, they will give u a paper or etc that you iu is working fine. then u are to pay the $10 + $0.50 (or etc) fine only. (provided you didn't expire the grace period).

 

I got expire the grace period b4, it is $70 fine.

When you pass by the gantry, do not overtake the car. ride beside the car on the white dotted lines. Steady your speed in line with the car and pass the line together with the car (make sure your rear is about the same as the car's rear. Tried and tested -> no fine. Why? You figure that out.

the camera took 1 foto wif 2 license plate. but dunno which 1 have no IU..

my bike iu spoiled. can i replace it using a car iu which is going to scarp then go vicom register ? car and bike iu is it the same ?
