One quick Question here, TheEngine Ice tat you are toking about, issit..

1)Anti Freeze component (Glycol based)

Or

2)rust inhibitor (Chromates and non chromates)

IL4, you know where to get coolant that is silicate free and aluminium safe? Engine ice is too costly.....

u can check previous mesgs by andy, i guess?? it got something to do with the contents in the existing coolant... doesn't hurt u to flush often.. 4 ur bike & ur own gd.. radicool fr BP is quite cheap & reasonable.. $3.50/btl

yes, distilled water is the best coolant, even better then Anti freeze.

mixed with Water Wetter, which neutralize the PH value of the water to prevent corrosions and scaling.

from wat i know they are retailing at 28 bucks. the total will not cost more then 35 i reckon, a bottle of de ioniesed water aint expensive.....

I'm working on an article on this.....

great, juz wat we need... hope u ll start a new thread by then so tat many bikers can benefit fr it.. thks pal..

Juz wanna find out......is there any way of removing the rust inside ur cooling system? for example, my gsx400...quite an old bike...probably has tons of rust inside the colling system pipes n all......any way to remove it? or prevent further corrosion to it?

Another point i'd like to have clarified.......one of the mechs i visited during repairs said that i should constantly flush my coolant monthly/weekly until the next flush in which my coolant does not change to brown colour.......is there any truth in that?

I am a bit confused

So anti rust is better than anti-freeze(green clour). Is engine ice an anti-rust or anti-freeze?

Is engine ice better or the redline waterwetter better?

Ya, i read that, then i also saw u recommending engine ice. Thats y i got a bit confused. But think is because of the date of post as waterwetter came in later right. Anyway, thanks for clearing my doubts.

Need advice on how to use the radiator flushing product.Do I drain out some of the coolant from my radiator b4 adding in this product n let it run together wif my original coolant and drain out everything after a while? Pse advice. Tks...

I haven't buy the flush but just been looking around cos i planning to flush my radiator soon.

So I guess that different kinds got different ways to use? Any good recommendations and where they can be found? I noticed tt some of them states that they remove scales n rust. By saying removing rust, does it mean tt the rust within the radiator is treated(I did see some products tt is specially meant for treating rust in the radiator and didn't specify much on removing sludge and scales tt's y i so confuse :? )? I have never flushed a radiator b4 so I have so many doubts... paiseh..

By the way, can I ask if the radiator fan only works when the radiator is nearing 100 degree C(as told by a mechanic today when i posed this question)?Today was quite a hot day n i have travelled for quite some distance also but I didn't see my fan moving so I have this query...

Tks :bounce:
