Rather than have the circuit in Tuas, I prefer if they develop an entire offshore island into a motorist haven. Race with nice scenery. We have quite a number of small islands. 1 not enough then join a few together lah. Imagine racing in the middle of the vast ocean... :lovestruck:

Somehow i feel it wont materialise. Unless they really have some solid plans to attract tourists for this site(ie: put the casino there, but of cos thats reserved for the bleeding sentosa) .

Money is the driving factor, i dun see how lucrative this project would be. especially since its not hosting f1... tourists wont come from all around the world just to see local events. and they wont earn enough money just from local use to make even. our neighbours has got their sepang so they probably wont come all the way down.

but of cos from a biker's POV, i certainly hope that they would build a track for public use. :goodluck: to all of us...

Well said, money certainly is the deciding factor.

Therefore I do not believe them when they say F1 and MotoGP etc not in their plans. The STBC seems to be involved in this project and definitely they would want more tourists.

Im sure they do not want to tell the whole world they wana host F1 etc. and risk being 'malu' if it doesnt take place.

doesn't matter if they build a street circuit or a PG type track... as long as there's a place to play and hang out yeah? guess most riders in sg wld really support the track building thing... anwy if they build just a street circuit... the race track is just across the causeway... building a track in sg is a BOUNUS to riders of sg... :thumb: %100 support this govt project... betta than painting old block and building so many playgrounds which eventually becomes unhealthy hangouts and graffitti corner for the youngsters late at night... might as well motivate them into future riders haha!!! :bouncefire:

even if this racing track is materialise.. i personally feel that it'll be more of car racing track rather than for bikes... honestly speaking, they will definitely earn more $$ from car races.. look at the no. of bike races in singapore as compared to cars.. seriously i dont feel that bike racing is as well received as compared to car racing.. just my 2 cents worth...
