Just now was following an MPV on a 2 lane residential side road. The MPV started to move towards the right headed for a house with an open gate which looked like it was going to enter the house.

Just as I was about to accelerate, the idiot decided to reverse park the vehicle in the driveway of the house and so swung out again in a sharp turn to the left.. right into my lane!!

Hit the brakes so hard that I did a stoppie with the ass of my bike lifting a few inches off the ground!! And I stopped like a few cm away from the passenger door.

Its at times like these that I am thankful for all the track sessions I did which have improved my reflexes and faith in my tyrres and in doing hard braking especially when slower riders cut into the racing line in the fast corners.

And the driver continued with the reversing into the house, did not even notice that I was stopped dead in my lane. Only when the maid, who had opened the house gates told the driver what had happened did the driver then look at me with the "what did I do wrong look". :gun:

It took me a few seconds to kick the gears down to first gear, all the time shaking my head while looking at the driver.

Without saying anything else, I rode off. Did not feel like farking people on the road today.

Again, no prizes for guessing the sex of the driver of the MPV. :puke:

Waahh... going holiday again ah???

Why I don't horn her?? No time lah, some more no voice to shout also coz my marbles were at my mouth at that moment, trying hard to swerve and ebrake at the same time.

I no more energy to shout at people on the road liao. If not, everyday sure shout until no more voice. Wahahahah!! :faint:

Just now night riding my Zed & went to Changi Coast Road along Changi Airport and stop at car park no.5, shiok ah :bounce:

The sea breeze & the sky is great. Many people are there, mostly families outing with their kids

Only not so good is that the Changi Coast Road is so long, I think longer than the airport runway beside. But the speed limit is 70km/h, wish can up to 90km/h

yeah...man..the exact thing happened to me before... cbr is a capable stoppie bike... the strange thing is, on both our experiences...the driver just drove on. like nothing happen...

lucky our big bike, the brakes are so powerful. we can avoid a head on collision. maybe thats why got less big bike accidents... something i always tell my friends on smaller bikes..."you can speed, all bikes can speed, but can you stop in time..."

What's been bugging me ever since they've raised the speed limits for commercial vehicles (60/70) is that now all but the overtaking lane on the expressways are clogged up by these panel vans/kangoos/trucks/pickups.

The situation wasn't brilliant before, but now it's worse. More often than not i'm encountering commercial vehicles sitting in lane 2 at 70-80 (even though their speed limits are 60 or 70) and cars in lane 1 doing 90 "overtaking". Because of the clog it's more difficult to overtake on the left safely.

Those who risk nothing, do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothing.
