Thats why sometime just pure luck, even how careful and caution we are, not other having the same thoughts.:giddy:

My fren told me if the other party really yaya papaya, lay down on the floor and ask those ppl call for ambulance, sure TP will make a statement.

but for my case, guess an ambulance might cost another life, so in the end: SWAY!!

With every good wishes

its definitely not abt the bike u ride or the fact that u r a lady, its the mentality of the ppl controlling the vehicles!~... erm, wat do u mean by they bully u?...

speed is nothing without control!...

To be fair, some bikers ride like they own the road also.....if not rushing for time and riding slower, please give way to anything that's faster.

Look at the situation and access...bikers do have no choice but to give up "right of way" commonly.

This thread has been going on so long but I still find some incidents and unhappy moments can be avoided by giving way. Ask not what you want of others, but ask what you can do to make yourself safer. There's no way to change the culture of road users here. We have to change ourselves to suit the situation. When stubborness comes head to head, God bless the rider's head.

If a biker constantly find themselves getting bullied on the road, then keep the bike for night time use when there's lesser cars or stash the bike aside for track riding. Normal commuting take public transport then. All these things are happening so many yrs ago, just that because we never put ourselves in a commuters' shoes. Then we are always in a bus or in the mrt, and we dun really care what is going on. We only care if the bus is fast or not and the jam is there or not.....it's a total different concern!!!

So let's just take it that we need not squeeze in the bus/mrt anymore, but we "squeeze" on the road with all the cars, lorries, bus and fellow bikers. It's still a squeeze no matter what.

A MCP MPV suddenly swerve into my lane, and I can barely brake in time. Handlebars wobbled badly after hard braking.

Don't even have time to horn.

After I recovered from the shock, I rode up beside the car and press and hold my horn for at least 5 seconds.

And yes, it's a female driver behind the wheel. -.-"

Give way although U have right of way, will not take up more than 2mins of ur travel time. Sometimes giving up the 2mins will save ur own skin and ass. And also a big hole in ur pocket.

i also begin to feel this way since my last incident with the 2 bikers who zoomed past so near me twice and open their throttle so loud right beside me (i was in btwn them).

My friends say maybe because I'm female so they try to "jisiao".

Or maybe my bike is a skipper cannot run away no matter how.

So is it cos of small cc... or because I'm female, it's very fun to bully?

:giddy:

And i noticed vehicles like to cut into my lane at the last minute thinking my skipper is slow enough to slow down in time. Or maybe they just do that to every rd user.

That makes SG roads dangerous!

:help:

Last night, whilst on the way back from Biketech21, I saw a group of racer wannabes SPs and Kips racing each other down Serangoon Road.

Blowing their throttles at traffic lights and challenging pick up when the lights turn green and weaving in and out of cars at high speeds in a race to the next traffic light. Worst of all was this one guy who tried to overtake buses in the bus lane from the LEFT side, riding between the bus and the kerb!!! Talk about stupdiity of legendary proportions!!

I see they got rearsets, quick action throttles, good tyres on ie BT39s or TT900s.

But I never see them at the track. Since they like to race... they should be going to the track to do this and not race on public roads at the expense of the safety of the other road users.

It is better to be well known as a fast rider (respectable) on the track than as a fast rider on public roads (reckless).

Erhm, it's the ego thing on the male part.

This is exactly the same when a women drives a import tuner (TypeR, Silvia, Skyline, Rex, Evo....etc), she gets more encounters. I have a lady fren who can drives pretty well (heel toes techniques, good counter steering skills, etc) on her Honda Civic and is just like you, always have male drivers wanna "try" out her skills. She just ignore and at least in my point of view, she's not a reckless female driver. She always nag at me to ride slowly because I pillon my wife and likewise, I always nag at her to slow down just to get back at her :cheeky:

And this is also the same in a workplace where it's a male dominant working environment like wine testing, or the SAF....women who chooses to work in such emvironment are often put to the test to see if they break it or make it.....

This is life.....let's wait longer until the century when women dominate everywhere and men will be slave. By that time, I think I no longer exist liao.

If you kanaa bully, just ignore. The intention is to either make frens with you or to show you mancho-ness. If you like the guy and he's friendly, make frens lor. If you think he yaya papaya, just concentrate on your ride. If he so Ji siao until he cause you danger, lodge a complaint to LTA with valid proof. If he Ji siao until he trys to follow you home, ride to a neighbourhood police post.

Whatever, use your brain and be safe!!! Dun let other people proof you otherwise.
