Glad your friend found it in one piece. Most probably some low life person decided to take it for a joyride. Best is to advise your fren to use a brake disc lock or the normal bicycle chains to lock the rims. Will give you a peace of mind knowing your bike is more or less secured. :thumb:

A question for the experienced,

When is it time to change my clutch plate?

I have been using my clutch plate for 2 years now. I'm using 7 clutch plate instead of the standard 6 clutch plate because the mechanic says im using TZM clutch housing(houses another plate). So far, it has been good but 2 years is it time? Or wait for the bike to have funny noises?

If yes, my plan is to buy the clutch plates over at ah boy. Asking for original clutch plate and then I'm off to another workshop to fix it. Good idea?

why at LAB... straight away get from agent lar bro... btw if you go to another workshop to fix it they will still charge you around the same price for the labour. might as well u straight away buy the things from the mechanic straight save the hassle and petrol.

if i can remember correctly the method to find out if your clutch plate are wearing off put it on main stand start your engine, clutch in and engage your gear 1. if your rear wheel spins even when you clutch in... then it means clutch plate needed to be change.

How come never fix at ah boy workshop? Their service bad?

Sometimes Ah Boy prices of original OEM parts are more cheaper than agent. Happened to me when I bought my gsx rectifier. S$20 difference.

Btw just wanna ask when rxz is on mainstand and put to 1st gear, the back wheel will rotate right? when the wheel rotates will the chain bounce or will it rotate smoothly?

bro jus curious u jack yr seat so high, how it feel wen cornerin does it wobble.....

Correct me if I'm wrong when the seat is jacked high the front forks need to be lowered so that the bike doesnt wobble when cornering?

it for sure wobbles and at very high speed u can feel your back tyre wobbles as well. my fren using it and got the info from him about the suspension riser.

lab mechanic services you can find out more from section WHY PAY MORE??

then maybe that depends on ahboy mood lar.... btw price of 6pcs clutch plate will be $22.50 from ban hoe leong. prices might go up due to the japan yen for the new batch of stocks from the info given at automachinery.

if your chain bounce when the wheel rotates then tat means to much slack in your chain.. time to tighten it up. if at a certain point your chain tension up and then slack then your sprocket warp is the topic.

I jack up the seat coz i feel that it looks nice. Many pple say cornerning wobble but so far im comfortable with the cornering. Not wobbling. More worried for skidding. At high speed(tried 160km/h - that's the fastest my bike can go) also comfortable. No wobbling. More worried for piston jam.

Eh $22.50 for a piece or 6 piece? I remember paying $10 per piece last time i change. If $22.50 6 piece not bad sia. Everyweek i change clutch plate.

@luckythirteen - Lab services quite bad. When it comes to engine, i don't dare let them touch. Things like tyre, sprocket & chain and those small² ones i let them fix.

Just my thghts, I think it'll feel nicer to corner when ur rear of ur bike is way high up to the sky(well, nt literally...). I think it feels lighter to "flick" ur bike ard corners compared to lower to the ground rear. But of coz, depending on ur gantung, speed ur coming in and importanly the rubber tat ur using, u WILL experience ur bike wobble at certain point. And last of all, if it's not the hardwares on ur bike, it's ur GUTS to see how low can u go...:thumb:

PS, don't take my words seriously, just ride safe and attend Zeckers meetup in the future to learn how to ride in a group safely on the road...

that price is for a 6 pcs clutch plate.

if its $10 a piece that means its including labour work macha... cos in singapore change the whole set of clutch plate only around $60 havent included the clutch bushing and etc.

JB 120RM to change your one set of 6 pcs clutch plate.
