Hey guys. I have 2 issues that i need to clarify.

1) When my bike hit rpm 5k-6k it seems like a dead spot. As in not power increase on wen hitting 6k rpm den there is abit of kick. What can be da problem.

2) I changed to a big break disk. Now every time i break at da moment juz before i stop. There is a vibration from da front end. At 1st i tot da maybe da pad n disk havent settled in but after a month it is still da same.

 

Can pls help

how come nowadays most rxz setting like that ah?4 years ago seldom got ppl say a lot a bout this..anyway..i think ur 'problem' is not a problem at all..scroll back maybe say 10 pages of this thread and ull find the answer..

 

checked ur wheel bearing and cone bearing already for the 2nd prob?

How to know my block and piston size?

Oct 2003 - Dec 2005 ----> Y 125 Z

Jan 2006 - Mar 2007 -----> RXZ

Apr 2007 - May 2008 -----> SUPER 4 Version S

June 2008 - Present -----> RXZ

I have read up 10 pages back but abit blur, is it da carb prob. Anw one more issue is my idle. Wen i start bike idle at 1.2k rpm. Aft warm up ard 1.5k rpm den after riding a while den idle 1.8k rpm after about 20 mins ride idle at 2.2k rpm. Wen at 2.2k rpm idle if i stop at traffic lite abit longer den it would go back down to 1.8k rpm. I have spent to a total of $1k but each time new prob arises. Can any kind soul pls shed some lite. Is there any local workshop that is very akin to RXZ. Da same workshop i returned to has let me down time and time again.

Me not too sure with your problem bro.. Maybe can the more experienced people here can help him..

 

My prob was a bit different.. My idling would be very high, about 2k rpm to 2.2k rpm.. When I lower the idling my bike will die off.. At first I thought it was carb but it wasn't.. So the next thing I thought of was the reed valves but it still does not solve the problem. It was actually my piston. My bike was actually giving signs that my piston was going to go.. I opened up my block and saw that my piston has deep scratches on it.. Lucky my block wasn't affected or else I have to send it for rebore..

 

I'm still finding the source of the piston being scratch that bad.. Still not sure why...

How to know my block and piston size?

 

I manage to find out that my rxz piston size is 1.50.. Went to sg ah boi and showed him the spoilt piston.. He also don't know what size is it.. One of the salesperson went inside and search for the same size. After about 10mins, he came out with a 1.50 size piston. Cost me SGD35 for piston, piston ring and clips.

btw bro, 3BS pipe apa eh?

 

The 1st pipe is the "lemang" pipe (it does not have an end can, the end is slightly narrower). It is usually on the very old model japan rxz. After that then came the 3bs pipe, it has an end can and there is a 3bs wording on the end can. Lastly is the catalyzer pipe, it is on the newer rxz model.

Aku pun dah lame tak gi survey2 motor kat kedai motor.. Maybe kalau nak yg murah, carik yg more than 10 years old nye ah.. Yg coe baru renew.. Lagi bagus kalau leh dapat Japan nye model.. Price range die aku rase around $1500 - $2500 gitu ah..

fua..pelan2 naik mcm bomb je..lama2 metop...anyway..tried servicing and setting it already?sometimes fuel finishing also like that ar the symptoms...dnt worry worst case i think change carb..the rest is quite cheap..the carb connects to the throttle cable only..and the rest are airbox to carb to engine block..

 

when service them at bikeshop ask them to check the reed valve also..the prob must lie around the parts i mentioned..cant be anywhere else.

bros out there im looking for a rxz for my dad as he is going to scrapp his current z( reason: body frame bend alittle so no use of rebending it n coe going to finish nx month).... looking 4 japan rxz( plate FD onwards)... burget $500+/- condition wise does not matter as will transfer parts from current z to the one my dad buying over n COE wise 2013 prefered n renewable...or anybody came across ur friend or uncle wan to let go can call or text me at 90879113 or pm me....thanks in advance bros...

Any bike shop locally that is reliable trustworthy in handling RXZ. Lost confident in current bike shop, spend SGD1000 and still old issues not resolve and new ones comes. FYI i overhauled twice wif da 2nd time changin to a Y-1 std block, carb n 3BS. Da same shop also sold me a leaky Showa wif holes pierced thru at the canister. I really dun mind spending as long as I have a piece of mind but seems dat its hard to find trusty mech. Think nxt wk will contact u maybe can let u see my bike at wdlands.

local bike shop eh..idk man..have to ask the rest of the riders here...coz either i go jb or fix myself..

 

prob is not with the mech..u have to know the machine and isolate the problem..once isolate already u know the problem lies only there so whatever mech tells u which has no link with the problem area dont have to believe it.

 

yeah ill be glad to help..im missing rxz already..holler me up...ill try isolate the prob to my best of knowledge.

Like u, I too lost faith in local workshop for they just wanna make money and doesn't really care abt quality. Worst is wen they promise u the time/date to collect back ur bike but pospone2 it to a later date... Haiz...
