btw i am bringing 700sgd to do up my bike in johor..wonder if its enuf or not..i nid bros here to tell me the important items to chnge jettings etc and quote me the prices roughly...thanx..

$700? might as well just service in Singapore brother.

Why trust JB mechanics so much? They carrot newbies esp those new to biking.

With S$700 you could change the below items

1) overhaul your engine,

2) change clutch plate

3) change magnet

4) change cone bearing

5) change clutch lever

6) service carburetor

7) change to your preferred main and 2T jet

8) chain and sprocket.

9) oil and spark plug change

10) front brake pad and rear

 

Asked for a receipt and if any of those things are not working accordingly, you can refer to CASE. In JB, who can you refer to?

tongkol,thanks for the info but i asked a couple of shops they quated me 1000 buck juz for a few items..thats why i am confused btw mind explaining the uses of each of the items,,so far i change to a new carb,chain and sprox...and another thingy,how much for a full local cat coverset here in sg?

Trust singapore mechanic?? Most of them are from jb as well. Instead of singapore mechanic i rather diy. Haha. I ever encountered that i have to rethread the block. The shop charged me about $40. I screwed the boss upside down cos he only rethread 1 of the screw and replace a local top block gasket. Went off without paying anything after screwing the boss.

hey ppl sory to hijack the thread but i nid help urgently on my z,i juz gt it 2mths back..nw the fork all leaking,my 2t super fast finish within 4days,my 3bs pipe emits tons of smoke even after warming up,my top speed is only 110 plus the pickup super slow..when i chge sprockets to 15-38 it got better but nw its back to being slow again..i juz bought a new carb hoping it would be better but it was shortlived and the problems arise back..i decided to go to jb next mon and do everyting up..however i gt no z kakis,i intend to standard mod the bike..any advise on wat i should change..In short i dun noe **** bout z i am still trying to learn a step at a time..hope the bros here cn give sum advise..text me @(93378251 fad)

 

Firstly get them to do a full service. Tell them to open up ur block and check ur piston and ring. See if there is any deep scratches on the block walls. If there is then get them to rebore it. Tell them to adjust ur 2t to moderate as ur smoke emmision is to much. Maybe u might have to decarbonise ur pipe as there is to much of unburn 2t leftover in it. Jetting wise get them to set for u.

Maybe u want to get ur clutch plate to be changed as well. If u have that $700 i suggest u change $250 first. Cos from my estimation what i listed here should cost u around RM 500.

Fork get original. Best to get original stuff. Get someone who knows how to differenciate local n original parts when u want to do ur bike. Price wise i cant recall cos ive changed my bike and have not ride my RXZ for 3 months.

wah bro..700 sgd..can get the bike ready for pasir gudang already...overhaul do up one engine plus clutch plate plus ahm or whatever racing pipe plus rim plus tyre..can race already..if go at kampung places i think there are leftovers to bling2 the bike...if do over there 700 is like spending in heaven..totally new bike.

Local shop you $1000? That's nut. Get some one experience to go with you. Eg blue chaos. Please do the internal first, eg block, engine, 2T pump, wiring, steering cone, tyre and the braking. It's an old bike, so prioritize interior. Get yourself familiarize after the major change. Then external (cosmetic) will be the last in mind.

 

Genuine parts usually comes is plastic and there's a Yamaha sticker on it. Genuine product not neccassary come from Japan. There are also made in India, Thailand and Malaysia as well.

 

Don't get third party parts. Eg. Racing Boy etc. this product are not recommended.

 

I've used to change my clutch lever to shorty lever. I regret when the clutch cable snap on me while riding(3 times) before I revert to stock lever. Those were the days when I'm ignorant and want to look 'cool' end up fooling my self. Best to go stocks

 

I know many rider want their bike to go fast. But how fast can you go? Get a big cc bike if you want to go fast. If I give you my R6, do you have the balls to go 260km/hr.

 

Think about it, don't spend so much on mod, the bike shop love you to mod but they don't consider your safety aspect of the rider. Mind you some JB mech advise you to use sotong tyre, to go fast. WTH!

check the fuel tube..make sure its not leaking from there..then check the drain tube..its the one facing the rear of the bike..make sure petrol doesnt come out from there also..lastly is the fuel reservoir at the bottom of the carb..

 

problem one,change fuel tube,problem two,change float pin or the float itself,problem three,ask mechanic as im not sure about the last one..

bros..my zek's piston already seized..instead of rebore, i can just change the piston and block right? but do i change the top block or the whole block? and 2nd hand hw much wud it roughly cost?
