Is it worth buying a new set of rims(Spooky & New fully chrome) or respoke and change to chrome hub ?

That depends on ur rim condition. And ur pocket bro. :)

hey peeps..juz changed my block yesterday to a y-3 2ndhand spend bout 300 bucks with piston gasket etc..seriously i feel soooooooooo cheated by the shop which i bought it from..most parts local and he told me ori!!! wtf!!!but nvm i have changed everyting to ori..heartpain but bo pian..aniways i wanna enquire,my mech told me tat since i juz changed the block he told me dun exceed 80km/h tll 1000clicks..but the funny ting is tat increase my 2t settings to bigger..may i noe wats the reason for doing that?i really no clue sia...

my bike now feels super strong however i cnt maintain a 80km/h speed the bike tends to vibrate alot until i actually increase the speed...is it because of the new block or the settings?

i try to answer your question (correct me if im wrong)

increase my 2t settings to bigger=good for your new piston,it lubes ur piston more,so high chances ur piston wont jam.after 1000 click go for sevicing and ask the mechanic to smaller ur 2t back to normal.

new block or the settings? = setting,i guess ur mechanic didnt setting ur carburator...and the carb setting presently is according to your old block and piston...

That sounds like a good idea...i needa relearn loads of stuff haha..

Why not held come short meet up and we can exchange/share ideas.

Previously we used to held meet up.

yup bro wat you say is true..so tell me wat shud i do then temporarily until i am running in my bike...

resetting your carb back to standard setting till 1000 click finish,1000 click done, go for sevicing and setting your carb to your engine potential speed....

sorry to hear that bro..its always the case for first time 2 stroke riders..

anyway what most of mech says cannot ride exceeding 80km/h is bullshit..speedometer for rxz depends on the sprocket size and rim size..u can ride at whatever speed u want,as long as u dont maintain ur rpm any higher than 7,or to be safe, any higher than 6..change gears before or at 6rpm.the information given by mech is always misleading.

if u put bigger sprocket, for all u know u can ride 80km/h at rpm 7,if u put smaller sprocket,u can ride 120km/h at 6rpm,so if u put smaller sprocket, and based on speed alone,at 80km/h u might be at 5 or below 5rpm at max gear..thats ridiculous..

so just ride at whatever speed ur speedo shows and dont exceed 6rpm,once ur mileage is above 500km,u can ride above 6rpm once in awhile but only for ori piston, local piston confirm seize like mine last time.

hi guys, have anyone of you guys experienced this before?

i was riding home yesterday night from pie to bke, riding around 140-150 (rushing home)

when i exited from the expressway i closed the throttle for less than a few seconds and my engine died

plus rear tyre locked as well.

but the weird thing is, i pushed the bike to the side, set it to neutral and its able to start again.

head to my carpark and no weird sounds coming from my engine block.

i asked one of my friends and he said, rxz engine cannot drag for long periods cause it stresses the engine and sometimes

it will auto cut off cause the engine is too stressed.

im confused about this situation. any input guys?

thanks alot!

yeah u can,but not like how u rode before..theres definitely scratches on ur piston and/or block,u can ride at normal speed now but chances of the piston seizing again is higher than normal.

u cant ride past 7rpm fear that it might seize again...if u have the money go change ur piston,if not just put a bit 2t in the fuel tank everytime u topup fuel and ride normally while saving money.

soon ur bike will have funny sounds and thats the time to change piston,do a full servicing and setting of carb for sufficient fuel/air mixture.

just get ur left hand ready the next time round to clutch in if it happens again..with wet road nowadays..u cant risk getting the tyre lock even for a sec..

ride safely!

Did u reuse the old fuel cock and put it in the new tank. If yes that means ur gasket is worn out.
